Clean, clear and crisp
Purchased the mic a few days ago so I haven't really had a chance to fully test it... that said, I'm very satisfied with this mic so far. Kind of went out on a limb wih this one as there isn't really much info on BASN mics but they're pretty well-nown for their IEMs. The mic is very solid regarding its construction. The fact that it comes in a hard case with the shock mount, a pop screen and an XLR cable only adds to the value. Again, all appear to be well built and very solid. As for how the mic sounds:In the short time I've had this mic I find that it compares very favorably to my other condensers:MXL 990, MXL V63M, 512 Audio Skylight, a RODE NT1 Signature, an Avantone CK7+ Pro and a Lewitt LCT 240. All are basic work horses and the most I paid for any of them still came in at under $200.00.I like that BASN has chosen to not imitate vintage mics, plenty of companies doing that already. To my ears the BASN is similar to the Lewitt LCT 240. It produces a very detailed and "transparent" signal that strikes me as having a "polished sheen"... the "modern" sound as opposed to the vintage sound. The proximity effect is a bit more obvious with this mic but it's not anything that can't be tidied up with a bit of EQ.I also really like the overall design and looks of the mic... actually, the mic is gorgeous IMHO. I purchased the blue version of this mic and it's a very nics blue. There is a black verion of this mic as well... identical in every way to the blue model but it always seems to cost more that the blue.Overall - totally satisfied and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one. A versatile mic and great value for the money.

Budget Mic That Competes with the Big Leagues
The BASN BMS2 microphone completely surprised me. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it wasn’t cheaply made. The construction is solid, and the shock mount, featuring carbon fiber, is one of the best I’ve seen. The flight case and packaging are also impressive, especially for this price range.I tested it on four singers and an acoustic guitar, and it handled voices beautifully, particularly female vocals, bringing out great detail. When I recorded guitar, I was shocked by how much clarity and depth it captured. There is a slight noise floor, but nothing that’s a deal-breaker. I put it head-to-head with other microphones in its price range, and it competed toward the top. I even compared it to my go-to mic, which costs six times more, and the BMS2 still held its own.I didn’t expect to love this mic, but it earned a spot in my mic locker. Whether for vocals or acoustic instruments, it performs way above its price point and is definitely worth checking out.

BASN BMS2 - Premium Sound & Build
The BASN BMS2 is an impressive microphone with solid build quality and great sound. It comes with a padded hard case, XLR cable, shock mount, and foam cover, providing great value for the price. I love how it sounds when recording my guitar and cello—clear and balanced, capturing every detail of my instruments. The microphone requires phantom power and is a bit heavy, so a sturdy boom arm is necessary. Overall, the BMS2 delivers excellent performance and professional quality. If you’re looking for a reliable mic, this one is definitely worth considering!

Good sound and build
I hadn't heard of BASN before, i looked into it and seen a few reviews of their IEMs. The build is mostly metal for the shock mount and the microphone, with a few plastic connection pieces or for the buttons on the microphone. The sound of the microphone was more than adequate for my uses. The buttons do feel a bit mushy and do make a sound when pressed if you are recording etc. The storing/traveling case is nicely constructed, with a cutout for each accessory. There is also a little bag inside the carrying case where you can store the microphone if you wanted to. There is a windscreen included, but it can be tedious to put onto the microphone and will dampen some of the higher frequencies. I think a magnetic pop filter would have been a better option since this microphone is nice to look at and it could be easily taken on and off without much effort, unlike the windscreen that will get caught on every divot. I received the blue version, it has a few accent pieces and the color is true to the pictures. When taking the shockmount out of the carrying case, the tightening screw fell off, just be aware that it can get loose in transit or not properly secured during manufacturing so I would advise checking before mounting this onto a arm or stand.

Probably one of the highest sensitivity and quality mics I’ve ever tried. For a bargain!
This mic is amazing. The Mic is super duper sensitive. It has a very nice wide presence that will sound just stunning if you have the proper environment to record in. It picks up everything. You can get an amazing voice quality around 3-6 inches. Make sure you use the included windscreen/moisture filter to keep your spit from damaging the microphone cartridge. The mic has controls for low frequency cut off and gain reduction levels. These 2 options make an amazing combo to remove unwanted noise. The included cord is a nice touch. The mount is amazing. It’s super heavy so you’ll need a high quality microphone stand or arm to hold this microphone confidently.Even the case is absolutely top notch. It has a seal to keep moisture out. Moisture will ruin high quality microphone cartridges. The case has high density foam with cutouts for abusive transportation and keeping the mic safe. The mount is stellar.
