Great external hard drive
This is a solid piece of kit with a lot of storage space at a great price, easy to install it's fast but does make some strange noises every time in use but that may be normal, I recommend to anyone looking for lots of file/photo storage.

Good USB Hdd.
Using this to store my weekly PC incremental backups. Works out of the box. Came with mains PSU and USB lead.

Good bit of kit but needs a slight improvement.
Used for playstation 5 external storage. I found this works perfectly well except it is a little noisy and requires its own power supply instead of running through the usb power from the playstation. The price and the size of the drive is reasonable and the reliability is great. Less noise please otherwise a 5 star product!!

Easy to setup
Bought this to shut my husband up , unfortunately that didn't happen and now all I hear is how good it is and how easy it was to set up, I don't understand it all but my husband is extremely happy with it and wants more, he highly recommends this harddrive.

Does not work with Amazon Cube V3
I called Amazon because we have a new Fire Cube Version 3. This new cube supposedly gets over the 2-4GB limit the previous Version 2 Cube had because it would only see drives formatted Fat32. So ... I called Amazon and they put me through to some guy in the Fire Devices team. He told me I could now connect the Version 3 cube to drives formatted in TFS and therefore get over the file size restriction. They suggested this drive as it "plays well" with everything from Xbox to PlayStation's.I bought it. We formatted it to NTFS. We loaded a couple of .mkv 4K films on which all our other media players play without any problem. It struggled. It struggled to both play the video and more importantly the audio. We reformatted the drive via the Cube. We then made sure the USB3 lead was connected properly. We added a couple of 4K .mkvs and once again it struggled. We used VLC and NOVA (which faired better) rather than the awful Amazon media player but ...its no use for films. It obviously just is not fast enough.I am sure for storing excel or word files it is okay but for playing films via the USB on the Amazon Cube (whatever Amazon say ) its not up to the task. Returned it.

Really good
I messed up a bit on the order and didn;t really realise that you need to plug this hard drive in rather than just connecting it via USB. That's not a problem though (I've got plug sockets!). Transferring data from my laptop to the hard drive seems to be a lot quicker than it was on previous USB connected devices, not sure if this it to do with the fact the hard drive is plugged in but it's pretty nippy. A lot of storage too and no problems so far.

Disk never worked
I received the disk and it would not initialise and just displayed the error "fatal device hardware error." The manufacturer agreed that there was a problem with the disk. They advised me that "I am very sorry about this all of our products are fully quality control checked before they get shipped to amazon". I am now awaiting a refund from Amazon.
