Writing this review to also confirm that this hose extension works with motorized accessories for the Dyson v15. Was looking for something like this to hold the vacuum in one hand and the stick with the vacuum head in the other, like you would with one of Shark's Lift-Away vaccums, and this works perfectly for that purpose. It makes vacumming a lot easier and more ergonomic.The trigger lock, however, is nothing to ride home about. It's a bit awkward to use and definitely could've been better designed, but it does work.

I like the fact that I can use my corkscrew pet hair power head with this vacuum, but the power head has less power when connected to this hose. The power head has noticeably more power when connected directly to my Dyson V11 vacuum. Not sure why? Also, I like the trigger clamp! It works perfectly. Not too loose or tight when attached. I suggest that if the one you get is too loose as other reviews have mentioned, that you add a small piece of tape around the trigger guard for a tighter fit. Which is what I’ll do if mine becomes loose. Overall a good product! I took off 1 star for the slight power loss issue.

The box shipped and the item enclosed is not the same as what is pictured on the website. There is no trigger lock included with this purchase.This is very disappointing.

Update: After using the hose about 4-5 times over a few weeks, one of the electrical prongs bent and it now will not pass electricity to the upholstery attachment, meaning the internal roller will not rotate. This effectively negates any advantage to this hose over ones that are not electrical. I have lowered the star rating to the 3 stars I would give this as a non-electrical hose.Ordered this extension hose for an Outsize. Here's what I thought:1. The extension hose fits the Outsize as described. While the included trigger lock doesn't fit an Outsize (as the description says), it was a perfect fit for a Dyson V8 and created an easy way to lock the trigger. We used a simple piece of velcro to hold the Outsize trigger down.2. All our attachments, motorized and non-motorized, fit the hose.3. The upholstery attachment (referred to in the pictures as "hair screw tool") was much easier to use. One of the problems when using this attachment with the Outsize is that it keeps you in awkward positions and limits where you can use it. With this hose, the attachment works as you would expect and you can move it around to vacuum anywhere you need.In sum, this extension hose works as expected and makes your vacuuming easier. Recommended.

The reviews said that this would not work with the v15, but it does! Not sure what other people's issues were but it fits mine just fun. It makes using the motorized furniture cleaning attachments so much easier. Now I can get into tight corners and spaces that I never could have plus my arm isn't getting so tired holding the machine and trying to push it into place if it doesn't fit. I mainly wanted this to clean the cat towers, and my car carpet. It appears to be made well.

The trigger seems to work nicely, though I have my doubts about it staying in place very well (and it was tricky getting it on the v8). The hose works with the V8 but not with the gen5 Outsize I bought it for, because there's a tab in the way between the two conductor pins that block it. With some modification (cutting that tab out), you could get it to work, but unfortunately it doesn't work out of the box with the Gen5.

I can finally reach the hard to reach spots in my car

Have used once with hair screw attachment. Worked as well as expected but would appreciate a version about twice as long for harder to reach places.The trigger lock was difficult to attach to my V8, and the push knob mechanism seemed to do very little, if anything, but once attached it seated firmly enough to hold the trigger when pushed against it.The trigger lock is not a great design, but proved adequate. but Considering that it is a "bonus"item, I did not deduct for this shortcoming.My chief complaint is the overall length if the hose.
