After using it for almost 8-9 months, I feel it's not worth it. Performance of the phone is quite bad if we comoare to any other phones of same range. Wifi network keeps on getting disconnected automatically. Apps work very slow on this phone. Sometimes the apps try to load the content for a long period of time but ultimately fail and app crashes. Especially, on any of the streaming platforms, if I try to play any video, it keeps on loading forever and upon multiple time restarting the video, it starts. Pathetic.Nowadays, I am also observing that the battery also draining fastly.Overall, I am not satisfied with the phone at all. Very bad impression. Not sure if the company can do anything about it. But rest assured, never gonna buy HMD again no matter how good they make their future phones.Giving one rating just cuz 0 was not an option. If we consider looks, then overall rating of 1 is fine.

This is about HMD Crest Max with Sony Camera Lens Purple smart phone. I bought this phone as I was looking for a decent phone with Sony lens and with a brighter display panel having larger 8GB RAM and 256 GB Storage. Also, I got good exchange deal during launch time.Look and feel of the phone is nice. It looks premium due to glass panel at backside. Overall, Android 14 OS performance is decent. It uses Unisoc TA 1641 chip which gives similar performance like Mediatek DImensity 700. Audio reception and phone call quality is very good. Noise cancellation is good. It can record calls but it is not anonymous.Network reception for 4g / 5g is very good. I tested Jio Airtel and VI 4g and 5 g dual sims and those works well.Brightness of the panel is good. But panel itself is not providing sharpness / depth / details while watching photos / videos. It shows blurred / washed out distant images and picture slightly looses on sharpness , depth and contrast . Even usual IPS display produces better videos than this. Sound quality is decent but it lacks live audio and bass feel. It needed little more loudness with extra bass. However, when you connect to premium headphone, you will get better sound quality. For this you can check entry level 5G Lava phones and then you will realize how good quality speakers Lava provides . Another major issue I see in SIM tray and assembly. It is not easy to insert dual sims in one attempt as while inserting, SIMs stuck somewhere, and SIMs gets displaced. Once I lost signal as second SIM was displaced inside. The SIM tray edges need slightly more depth and more stiffness. Some minor issues need to be resolved like the phone got double tap to wake up but there is no double tap to close the screen.This phone has pre-loaded HMD tool (optional) that can check device overall health like device current temperature, battery health, storage health etc. Also it's RAM is virtually expandable. And HMD claims that this phone is repairable at home. Although, it does not come with screw assembly!!The performance of Sony camera is deteriorated due to this bright panel. Photos are more vivid in colour and brightness. Especially, Sky looks more vivid in picture than actual. But when you see same camera samples on PC you will see actual true colours. So, it is more of display , camera and AI combination issue than only camera lens. HMD should focus on tunning these issues and camera focusing abilities. Camera has many editing options. Overall camera samples are above average but I did not see any exclusiveness of being a Sony primary lens. Selfie camera is decent. It produces nice but smooth photos but with warmer tone. HMD needs to work on tuning front camera and displaytogether.HMD is not going to provide OS upgrades for next 1 or 2 years and so, this phone does not justify the cost. It needs to be cheaper than the current price.Overall, I recommend this phone as a secondary camera phone with 3.75 stars rating at this stage. Hope this help in your buying decision.

I am first few customer of this mobile bought to gift my mother. Mobile was kept in box untouch for 10 days waiting for visiting home town. 27 august I found mobile switch off I charge it and switch on but it was asking pattern after restart I given correct pattern but touch was not working there was no hard reset option by button so I visited service centre they ask 3 to 5 days to repair touch screen I was surprised how touch screen not working just keeping in box I asked them it's security feature try to format my phone by software but not listen me since 8 days centre waiting for spare part in delhi now imagine service in rest india. Yesterday I received email stating your mobile delivery date 4 sep 24 I visited centre on 5th and there and email might be by mistake still speare part not received so such mobile whoose screen touch get damage while mobile remain unused in. Box and service centre in delhi don't have general part like touch screen and waiting since 8 days and still delivery date not confirmed is scram as device and worst service quality redmi and realme mobile service centre provide hand 2 hand remain even for mother board and touch every thing in 2 hrs in delhi I visited redmi realme service centre 2 time and they repaired the phone within 2 hrs
