Sony 77 Inch OLED 4K Ultra HD TV BRAVIA 8 Smart Google TV with Dolby Vision HDR and Exclusive Features for PlayStation® 5 (K-77XR80), 2024 Model

Have had this TV for about 6 months now and I can honestly say it was worth the buy.Had to upgrade since my 15 yr old plasma said I QUIT.Hopefully this will last just as long as it did.The picture quality is amazing.The screen being the speaker is a major upgrade from the traditional downward firing speakers(no echo).The Bravia 8 is a worthwhile purchase.

This is a great TV ,Picture is amazing but like all tvs you have to adjust them to your liking, best picture and sound ever, just need to do a little tweaking.

I have never purchased a television that wasn't from a big box retailer. Researched and this was the best size and reviews for my needs. Amazon delivered quickly and were nice enough to not just leave it on my porch. It was easy to unbox and set up thanks to a You Tube video. I couldn't set up Google TV so had to call and Sony had to update it. I decided to just keep it as standard TV since I have cable and a few streamers that were directly on the remote. I also had to adjust the picture to Vivid and adjust the blackness on the picture but that was easy to do. 55" was the right size as I was replacing a 14 year old Sony 46". Sony seems to have the best picture quality, find others way too vibrant and unnatural. The sound is also quite good on this set. I would recommend it as a good tv especially since I went by reviews only and did not see it in store. The picture is vibrant and looks so crisp, clear and natural. Amazon delivered!

The picture quality was AWESOME. The google operating system is crap. Sound intermittently drops out, when using Netflix or other apps. The Cable set top box control was completely random and intermittent. Google is used for all,of the control of this TV, EVERYTHING, picture adjustments, sound everything. Add in that you have to agree to at least 5 privacy releases for google to collect and sell your data.I spent 30 years as an equipment start up application engineer, I don’t give up on making systems work properly. If you look into forums you will see the sound drop out is a widespread problem. I am VERY disappointed that Sony made the decision to use google for the total operating system of this TV. If it had the option to just operate as a dumb monitor I would have been happy with that, I can easily control apps via a fire stick. I retuned this TV and purchases an LG C4 series.The second issue was the return of the TV, we purchased the premium delivery that included unboxing and hauling away the box. Without a box the return was an absolute nightmare. There is a HUGE DISCONNECT when trying to deal with Amazon heavy package services. I spent HOURS on the phone and chat trying to get the TV returned since we didn’t have a box. After all of that when they did pick it up, they set the BARE TV on an aluminum hand dolly and literally BOUNCED it across the driveway to the road. I’m sure it was unsellable when they received it at warehouse.

Day 1-item arrived early in the day, unboxing and set up were pretty straight forward. I am very happy with the display of this television. Everything works as it should and I believe I will remain happy with this purchase.Update and a "star" is deducted!Okay-so a mere 48 hours after receiving and setting up the TV, the ARC/eARCfunction on the TV stopped working! Just for no reason at all-it wasn't working, and it was impossible to reprogram ARC/eARC to work again. Wading through hell and high water, I just unplugged all the HDMI cables from the TV and my receiver. Unplugged the TV and the receiver. LEt them both sit for about 10 minutes. Reconnected everything and still did a hard reset on the TV and finally-i was able to assign HDMI ports and get sound to my receiver again! I hope I won't have to deduct another star. I really want to like this TV!Day 9-back to a 5 star rating. The Arc/eArc function on TV has been working properly for the past 7 days. I guess everything has settled in and TV has been everything I hoped it would be. I am pleased with this purchase.Update again-2 weeks later and the Arc/eArc feature is back to not working properly. it turns off my AV receiver, but it won't turn it on! I am keeping this at a 4 star. Very disappointing.

Do you really need me to write anything about this ? Heck, you will have read all the reviews of this TV and know all about it. So, to the things you probably want to know: did it arrive quickly, intact, etc. Yes, this arrived really quickly. A couple of beefy guys in their big truck showed up on time and were very courteous. Carried it gently into my garage and left it just where I wanted it. They offered to unpack it, but I wasn't ready for that. It was in perfect condition. I unpacked it myself (instructions are actually printed on the package, just follow them). I mounted it on the wall using the same wall mount I already had there from the old TV. Worked out great. Packaging was cut down easily to get into a combination of garbage for the polystyrene, and recycle for the cardboard (but the dog decided she liked laying on the cardboard, must have been comfy, it was thick enough. So that stuck around for a while.)

Picture and sound is truly amazing on my opened-box Bravia 8. Arsenal PC has great customer service (a person actually answers the phone). Would definitely buy TV and buy from seller again.
