Works perfectly
This is a sweet little switch, looks huge in the picture, but it's actually a standard size that fits the existing deep box that housed an auxiliary, and unrequired fuse holder I had fitted earlier, there's no real need for it as I have a brand new consumer unit with highly efficient circuit breakers, it comes with a matching deep box to use if one isn't already in place, you need to use a small screwdriverto split the glass front from the unit in order to screw it to the box, there is a plastic protector on the sensor in the center of the unit that I removed, I'm sure it's meant to be removed just before replacing the glass cover, though the pamphlet doesn't tell you to do that, I'm quite sure it's meant to be removed, I did so. I am a retired builder with some knowledge and experience in wireing in new sockets, switches etc, so I know what I'm doing, however if you are not confident in such things, and taking into account that your emersion heater may well be connected to a 30 amp supply, take extreme care, or call in a professional, though once in place clip the outer glass front back in on with a firm push, and with the power supply restored you're ready to go, all the steps necessary to connect to you router are in the pamphlet, good luck, you will wish you'd done it sooner, well worth the money, but be very careful.

Works well
I bought this for a towel rail and it does the job well. The switch itself looks good and the touch on/off control works very well. The subtle blue/red on/off illumination is bright enough to be seen, but not at all obtrusive. All in all, this is a good looking unit that works well. It was easy to setup in the Smart Life app and to setup a schedule. The switch comes with a plastic back box and a screwdriver to help you get it installed. My only gripes are:* There's no earth connection on the switch just live (in / out) and neutral (in / out)* The electrical connections are rather small, so it's a challenge to get two wires or a folded wire into each if it's solid core copper* The back plate of this switch, which you screw onto the back box, is very flimsy and you have to be very careful no to over-tighten the screws, lest you break it* The bolts that come with the switch are not the standard diameter for a UK back box (although they fit the box provided, which is a bit cheap & nasty), so be sure to have some others handy if you're fitting to a regular back boxAll in all I'm happy with this purchase (gripes aside) and will be buying a couple more.

East to fit and install
Easy to install. But doesn't have an earth connection. Setting up in Tuya was very easy. Set the switch or discover mode and opened the Tuya app and it saw it straight away. Also, as soon as Tuya saw it so did Alexa. I've got my schedule in Alexa so all my smart home stuff is in one place. You need to know it doesn't setup on a 2.4/5ghz wifi. It only sets up in 2.4ghz. So for the initial setup, switch off your 5ghz, do the setup then switch on the 5ghz and it'll work.

Simple to wire and set up. Works a treat
I got this for automating my towel rail in the bathroom.I already had a switch and back box. However the electonics needed a deeper box, so glad one came with the switch.Simple to wire, though there is no earth on the switch. Just one in the back box.Smart Home set up was quick and easy. Alexa then recognised it.My only slight grumble is the wifi light does not stay on after discovering the network.

Front glass fragile when fixing
The glass front broke when fixing onto the provided backing plate due to the holes being too small, but fitted it loose to the wall as it is located in a cupboard so not in view.

good value and effective
looks good, easy to use & to set up on the app. I used it for switching on my oil-fired hot water, and it's great to be able to do so from anywhere.

Works as described, but switching 40 A would be brave!
This Wifi switch enables me to control the immersion heater via the Alexa system. The set up using the SmartLife App and subsequent linking to Alexa was all straightforward. However the wiring of the control switch did need some care as the connector terminals are not that big (I certainly would not want to switch 40A with it though the 13A for an immersion heater is probably OK). There is no earth post so an extra connector block is required, squashing the whole lot into the rather flimsy back box also isn't that great. The face plate then clips on the front. However as others have noted it would be easy to snap the plastic clips. So overall it does what it claims well and does have a CE / UKCA logo on the packaging, but it doesn't have the build quality I would expect for UK electrical equipment. As for switching 40A - that's for the brave!
