Does the job
Fitted to an existing loft system for a bathroom extractor hose where some moisture is running back into the fan. This captures the run off nicely and deposits it in a small container. Shame the guy that fitted it didn't fit it properly to start with.

All good
Just remember to get some rigid duct to go with this or it doesn’t work

Goods delivered on time
I haven’t installed the trap as it will be my next project.Providing I can connect to a suitable outlet through the eaves it should work ok.

Buy silicone and/or duct tape too...
There seems to be a terrible design flaw with this product which can only be overcome with a load of duct tape and/or silicone sealant.100mm duct pipe fits perfectly, except the ridges/flanges whatever you call them around the inside mean there’s an air gap between the outside of the pipe and the inside of the trap. The ridges, particularly on the top side, mean the duct pipe cannot possibly push up tight so air will flow around it. In the attached picture I’ve poked a ruler down the outside of the duct and you can clearly see it poking out inside the trap. It’s not much better at the bottom. Here the flanges at least allow the duct to push up flush inside the fitting. However, it only butts up, end-on so to speak. There’s no rubber, no seal, no or snug interference fit.If the duct doesn’t go in exactly square, or any movement or vibration allows the lower duct to drop at all, it’s going to create a significant gap and even if the duct is in all the way, I’m sure it will allow some wet air from the fan to escape into the loft/ceiling void.It comes with one plastic sealing ring but there is only one, and it’s solid plastic and can’t see it making an airtight seal. The bottom union will be down to silicone and duct tape. This means it won’t be easily accessible for servicing etc. I was relying on solvent welding everything else, and having the removable joint being that into the fitting. I’ve already solvent/welded the trap to the drain run off and laid flooring over it all so can’t even try and replace it without considerable disruption.Very disappointed
