Sturdy build & fantastic recording quality.
The Shure MV7 sports a sturdy all-metal construction that is built to last. The accompanying tripod is light but robust, easily allowing you to change the angle and position of the mic and doesn’t take up much space on your desk. Much like every other microphone, the MV7 sports a 5/8” screw mount for mounting onto stands & boom arms plus a 3/8" adapter in the box for even more compatibility.I bought the MV7 to replace a Blue Yeti X that I had been using to record hypnotherapy files. The Shure MV7, being a dynamic microphone, cuts out the need for a lot of processing which resulted in a warmer, more rich & natural tone for my recordings. As it is also compatible with Android I can just hook it up to my phone et voila, I’m good to go!I was a bit leery about the touch panel but it does exactly what it is supposed to and does it well. I’ve even swipe don it during recording and no noise was picked up from the action. The complementary MOTIV app works really well with plenty of features, preset EQs and options to play with and enable a limiter, reduce the dynamic range using compressor effects and more, and you can save the presets within the app for easy switching. There’s also the benefit of being able to choose XLR, USB or both at the same time (even though Windows 10 can be a pain in the backside when it comes to multiple recording devices)The only real downside of this microphone is that it still uses a micro USB connection on the mic itself which seems cheap at this price point. Come on Shure, get on the USB C bandwagon! Having said that, they do include both a USB A to micro USB cable and a USB C to micro USB cable in the box. This really is the perfect mic for beginners doing voice work, podcasters or streamers. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than more lauded microphones but you really do get the tonal quality you pay for.

Great mid-range mic!
After watching several reviews on YouTube, I decided to purchase the Shure MV7, and I am not disappointed at all. The sound quality is great for meetings and also delivers good-quality sound for live streaming. It's less potent than its big brother, the Shure MV7B, but it doesn't require additional dongles as it performs well when connected via USB.A few drawbacks are the fact that it's not USB-C (which is a bummer) and that it takes in a lot of plosives depending on how far you speak from it. However, you can replace the foam with the one used for the Shure SM7B.The software could be better as there aren't many options. So, I recommend plugging it into an audio interface with an XLR cable for optimal sound quality.

Wow!
I’ve been using a wireless DJI mic for a while but wanted something that could handle recording in a small non soundproofed room (invariably with a dog in the corner). This mic is outstanding at focussing on your voice and eliminating 99% of everything else. My dog was making a lot of noise during my testing and the mic did not pick it up. The app allows you to play around with a lot of settings too.The sound quality is unbelievable; the ‘dark’ bassy setting is a bit too bassy for me, but that’s a good thing because I feared it wouldn’t be bassy enough! The windshield is rubbish though, so I’ve ordered the Shure RK345 (£25ish) as I’ve heard it’s a good fix.The mic is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and the stand (which is VERY good) sits quite tall from my desk at about 4”. Which the mic attached and pointed at me, it sits about 10” from the desk.

Just buy it already if you want great quality sound without a hassle
I got the Shure MV7 USB Microphone for my podcasting and video conferencing needs and I am highly impressed by its capabilities and flexibility. The construction is top-notch, and the option to use it as either a USB or XLR microphone is especially convenient as I have plans to upgrade to XLR in the future. The audio quality is exceptional and the included tripod makes set-up and use a breeze. I give this product a 10/10 rating and would suggest it to anyone in search of a premium quality microphone for podcasting, recording, streaming, or gaming.

Perfect sound quality. Quick and easy to use.
I got this as my first podcasting mic (Life At Your Own Will Podcast). It's as easy as plugging into your computer and you're good to record. The app is very easy to use, making the sound quality very customisable.I like how this mic is dual input. You can connect using USB or XLR. Along with the headphone jac at the bottom It's clearly been designer with ease of use in mind. The only flaw is the mic foam which comes with it. It's neither use nor ornament. It does nothing to prevent plosives. That's easily remedied with an alternative foam cover. If you're considering getting a mic without all the faff of using an audio interface, with excellent-sounding audio in mind - this is the mic for you.Plus, on an aesthetic note - it looks really attractive.

Amazing quality
There was nothing in particular that I didn’t like, but the audio quality is very good, maybe the stand couldn’t been a bit more sturdier, but overall I can’t complain.

6/10
Overall it does the job, but I would say it's over-priced and not at sturdy as it should be. The sound is ok but it could be louder for the price payed. I do think this mike is overrated but it is easy to set up and use.6/10 overpriced, over-hyped but it's not bad but maybe look for a cheaper mike that not as over-hyped.
