Beautiful guitar that is high quality and plays very good. Buy a decent guitar to keep your little one interested and that stays in tune. The amp is just ok but it works fine until your guitar student shows commitment to the craft. Comes with strap, tuner, picks, the amp and the guitar. The pink made her grand daughter smile for days.

This comes with several pieces: the guitar and strap, tuner, a pick-card, and a cloth to wipe the shiny black guitar. The tuner took a little bit of figuring out, but when you hit the right note, it gives you lots of flashing green lights, so that encourages my son to tune before he plays. The cloth is a very nice touch I would have never thought of. The pick-card is probably my son's favorite part! He pushed the picks out and still carries the empty pick card around. Finally the guitar and strap. Strap is a strap, no complaints. The Guitar is great. It is just small enough for him to start learning chords, and it holds its tune, even going between his mother's house and my house. The sound is great as well. Very pleased with this purchase.

Perfect birthday gift for 8 year old. Just the right size for him. Well packaged and comes with amp, cords and everything listed.

Updating my review as it seems that I was not right about the guitar - even more close inspection gave me pretty confusing results - the body/neck are spotless, with no scratches at all. So I don;t get how the area behind the strings are that badly scratched.So bumping the rating from 1 to 4 for now (the cable was still broken POS)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I should have read reviews before buying. Read this statement too often, now it is my turn to use it.Apparently, many people reported on receiving used/broken items, and so did I.The guitar was a present for our 9 years old, arrived on time, and we even connected it to amp right away to check it out.However, after looking at the guitar closer, I have noticed that the whole front panel is scratched, it looks like someone played it using keys or screwdriver. I cannot explain how those deep scratches could appear on guitar in those places, even under the strings.The cable also came broken - I spent almost an hour trying to pull it from the amp as the pin of the plug was very loose and just stuck in the socket. I had to disassemble the amplifier to get it out.Total and complete disappointment.

If you think by saving 20 bucks and going less expensive and it does not matter then you are dead wrong. You get so much more with this product versus the brands you seriously have never even heard of. I will tell you why I am writing this review. I ordered the complete package with Amp. Holiday shopping things get crazy and they did not send the amp, I wrote them and they immediately sent me my amp - not only that they were nice at Austin which in this day and age is great you know ... but they also sent a better bigger amp no cost. I was freaking out a little because it is my sons first guitar and without an amp it would be "price is right losing music" without it Christmas morning. I did not want to spend more on an amp either. It is a F.E.N.D.E.R ... it HAS to maintain standards - it will last and even at 3/4 its cool and you can hang it up on the wall as ART when you get a full size. Perfect pick for our son’s 11th birthday, who is taking guitar lessons but wanted an electric guitar. His guitar teacher even said this was a great choice as it is not a full size, so it’s easier on younger fingers. Can be used for beginner or intermediate, and the instructor said some of his friends who are in bands lead on stage with this guitar. Packaging arrived without damage. Loved that this came as a set with strap, amp, tuner and more! Great package deal. Color is vibrant and slight shimmer but not too much. Weight is lighter than full size but still substantial enough that it doesn’t appear flimsy. Yes, I would recommend this product. Arrived quickly. Music hadn’t stopped since it arrived! Love it. Rock on!

Ordered it in December but travelling and could open it now. It's full of scratches and absolutely packed in bad condition. It's not what we expected.

My 10 year old loves it. It came packaged great. Fits him perfectly. Great dvd for beginners instructions as well, definitely recommend
