Mix and Match Modern Crochet Blankets: 100 patterned and textured stripes for 1000s of unique throws

I’ve been crocheting for many years but i always follow patterns. I’ve never designed my own patterns so this book gives me some creativity to make something more unique.

Fun patterns. Something different that what you'd ordinarily see in crochet books. I haven't tried the patterns yet, but expect it is not for beginners. Maybe someone who's been crocheting a while. Can't wait to try them.

The best!! The stitches are easy to do and there are so many to choose from and play with. I love being able to design my own blanket using strips instead of squares. This is by far my most favorite crochet book!

I heard about this book in a crochet group I'm in. I usually am not one to pay for a single pattern, because I am cheap about such things, but I saw the cover and was instantly hooked. I had to learn to make these blankets! What's funny is, in the group, the OP bashed the construction method, but I didn't care. I wanted to know so I bought the book and it's genius! I am working up a blanket from this book so much faster than I have any other blanket I've made. It's a lot of fun, and the freedom of placing them in any order is great for me. Too many times I've made something with colors that I look back on and I'm like oh, nope. Oops that would have looked better rows later, or, not at all. Again, genius method, great book, would have gladly paid $50 for this sage but simple knowledge, haha.

I love this crochet book. Easy to follow instructions. Fun patterns. I have mix & matched to make so many special gifts.

Interesting book. I love the concept, but somethings are slightly unclear, like how many chains to make each section. Visuals are great, but those details are umportant.

This book gives me a ton of inspiration and now I'm planning some really fun blankets! I almost exclusively make blankets these days so it's good to get new, different ideas for them. I'm sure the techniques could be applied to other things as well like scarves with thinner blocks and that sort of thing. The book itself is sturdy and the pictures are beautiful! I will be referencing this over and over I'm sure. Highly recommend!

I love the whole package on this book.The author herself rocks. She’s in this with you and a terrific teacher - she’s finally simplified the ‘pattern science’ of the craft, presenting a really diverse and creative collection of pattern “strips” which you can mix/match or just build the whole thing off of - and her delivery of instruction is clear, thorough and accurate. She walks you thru from start to finish including connection. If u treat this as a manual/hands-on toolbox, it’s loaded.This crocheting method was exactly the refresher I needed to start my holiday projects - you WILL be inspired no matter what your niche is…hands down. She kept it that level. So yep - any level crocheter will be able to utilize this thing all day.If you’re concerned whether you’ll be able to follow her patterns, you will! Just use the book - she wrote it as a crochet pattern guide AND an A-Z instructional reference. I friggin LOVE THIS BOOK!
