Easy to use, flexible uses.
I used this to control the speed on a Christmas game I made with a conveyor belt. I tried to use a variable output power supply but this gave me a lot more control.

Maximum rating of 20 amps is widely inaccurate
This PWM DC controller is rated to 20 amps, which is the reason we purchased it for a project that required a conversion from 24 vdc to 15 vdc at 12 amps. In general, running a similar device at roughly 50% rated capacity should be easily accomplished and at stead state conditions. On the bench the device operated perfectly at low load levels (under 1 amp output). Once in the field and connected to our intended load at 15 volts and 12 amps, it got hot and smoked within 2 minutes. It now apparently has an internal short and is no longer operational. We would recommend a maximum load of only 5 amps rather than the stated 20 amps.

Four stars except the control is set backwards to actual speed output.
This controller is mounted in my greenhouse to control the speed of a recirculating ceiling fan. It works perfectly except that the controller knob indicates lower numbers for higher speeds and higher numbers for lower speeds, meaning its indicators are entirely backwards for functionality. It is a bit awkward as a result but the unit is neat, clean, and well-made. Someone simply got their wires crossed, literally! LOL!

Good for prospecting gold
This item works really well as a speed regulator for a recirculating sluice. Wire it into the battery and out to the pump and you’re in business.

Worked Great and Good Quality
Works Great. Tested it with a 12V to 24V DC Motor at 19V 0.4A. The Speed knob is smooth and clicks off with a good feel. The Off/Direction switch works great. Crisp switching feel between Clockwise/Off/Counter-Clockwise. Very good quality and I am happy with this purchase.
