When the product is plugged into the car's OBD port, the excess product length is approximately: About 3.5cm.

Has anyone used this on a mk3 2015 ford focus? i think i have a faulty parking sensor and want to identify which sensor it is. would this do the job?

I haven't used this on a Ford, but used it on a Vauxhall and VW Golf.
I found the OBD2 reader is compatible with a several applications on Google Play (or App Store) and the info depends what the actual application is offering you to see for free or some paid. 
This OBD2 reader is just used as a 'middleman' to get info and give it to the app and the app you choose shows you what they want.
One app I downloaded showed me info like you'd find on a Black Box, while another just gave me the basic fault codes and a link to read up about them.
