Works
Well built and completely eliminated the water hammer we had going on with our washing machine in our newly purchased home. Totally satisfied and highly recommend. Easy to install with no leakage whatsoever. No water pressure loss. Crucial point, you must install with tube in a vertical position otherwise they don't function properly.

Water hammer issue solved
Had a new LG front load washer installed and was having trouble with water hammer. Closed the valves a bit to reduce water hammer but cycle times got extended due to the water pressure being too low and taking longer to fill the machine. Attached these arrestors to the back of the machine and was able to run full water pressure to the machine and lower the wash cycle times back to normal. I think they work great.

Good product
Packaged well. Easy installation. Noisy pipe “rattle” did not go away but it is better. No fault of product, water pressure is set too high.

Needs Vertical Install
Some people wrote these work great in the beginning, then not at all. They could be installing them wrong. It needs to be installed so that the stainless steel part is vertical and with the brass part below it. The stainless steel part should have air inside to work correctly. When the washing machine valve closes and stops the water, the air acts as a spring to absorb the sudden stop of water flow (water hammer). If it is installed with the stainless steel part horizontal, the air will slowly flow out through the piping and spring action disappears. There is no metal spring inside and that wouldn't be able to absorb anything anyway. I suspect even if they are installed correctly, one may need to drain them occasionally because air can be absorbed by water. In fact, the other supplier selling these has a photo with them installed wrong (horizontally).

Water Hammer Arrestors
Worked great to remove the knocking when the water starts and stops on the washer.

So helpful
So far so good. It’s only been a few days but the noise from the water banging has stopped. Hopefully these last longer than the last ones.

Sort of works.
They reduced the pipe hammering but did not get rid of it completely.

Works relatively well. Seems to be getting better as it works the air out.
Silenced the banging, but did not totally eliminate the pulse. I think that is just the machine mixing hot and cold water.
