Nice unit
This product will not hold the larger GPS units but works well with a cellular phone. And the smaller GPS units

It's an inexpensive piece, and you get what you pay for
So I got this thing, I suppose I should have realized that assembly would be required. That in itself, wouldn't have changed my choice. Anyway, it came disassembled. I had to assemble it, that's not a big deal. However, it would have been nice if there had been a picture diagram, a link to somewhere'sthat had a picture diagram, maybe a video by some up-and-coming digital creator...You know they warn us about stuff like don't operate a hair dryer while standing in water, toaster should be on a dry surface when using, do not use your fire pit inside the house, things like that are graced with warnings, why would they not think we could use a diagram? So moving on, with the common sense and human brain I was given nearly 70 years ago, & by the way whoever had the brain before me, kept it well, maybe they only used to on Saturdays when driving to Temple, obviously they didn't use it too much cuz it seemed pretty new when I took possession of it, hence, I was able to figure out that the knee bone was connected to the thigh bone and so on and so forth. Now I, my brand of comedy aside, I am aware that there is a depth concern for it fitting on one's rear view mirror, luckily my mirror enjoys the Mediterranean in various other diets and is skinny enough to have fit the girth requirements, watch for future reviews of accredited diet programs for your mirror and other accessories!Today it got its first use and as I just did a short couple miles to a clandestine location and I returned those same couple miles back although I was driving a zig-zagged route so to keep any surveillance employed stymied, I was able to ascertain that it's as flimsy as a balsa wood lightweight airplane from 1962...I don't think this plastic shmata is going to last, but I'll cross that bridge when I find my feet there.Perhaps when, pkyyya or whatever the name of the company is that made this "tool" sees my review, if they even see it, may have some words of sage of advice. Time will tell...In closing, until I update this wonderful literary description, I don't expect much I just expect it to firmly hold on to my mirror and the mobile, support the weight of this modern-day communicator and gently hold on to it like a mama cat carrying it's young and I expect it to fulfill these needs for at least, maybe a year. Now I ask you, is that too much to ask?4.11.2024Update, I'm trying to give it a chance. I'm not comfortable with the depth I have been given by the arms that hold the phone. It would probably fit if I didn't have a protective case on the phone but I won't remove that case from the phone, that's not going to happen.I'll give it a few more days see if I can be won over by it, but perhaps the company or whoever writes that description should offer measurements, because the width and or the depth of a phone will change once other factors are accounted for.5.21.2024So, this is the final chapter; this item has been returned. I tried, I really tried.... But as if the aforementioned reasons weren't enough... This is a very poorly designed item. Whenever you need to touch the phone's face, you almost always need to readjust your mirror and as the reasoning for having that phone mounted is supposed to be so you can pay attention to your driving, and perhaps there's a way to adjust settings on the phone so it's completely voice activated but if there is, this old guy doesn't know it.I did however select another dash mounted phone holder thingy, and I've got it installed and I will be writing about that one soon.

Not for dimming mirrors
Does not fit my Grand Cherokee’s mirror so I gave it away. No complaints.

ITS BIG AND BULKY
I installed this in my F-250 with a bit of a problem. The phone mount is large and bulky, and pushes against the window when installed in the center of the mirror. I insured I collapsed the mounting hooks as much as possible, however it still caused the mirror movement to be restricted. Mostly facing down towards the back seat. I corrected this by installing the mount completely to the right of the mirror mount, allowing more room. Also, I use this for my back-up camera which is too bulky for the phone mount. This was easy to fix as I removed the phone mount and it threaded directly onto the camera monitor. WORKS GOOD NOW!

To check
It is so loose that gpc doesn’t stay there and drops down. It is very hard to put to the back view mirror. Drops down . Looks loose and doesn’t stay. I wanted To return but I don’t like to return. And before that they sent me wrong thing that I exchanged

Best one out there
I’ve tried multiple holder’s in my car, this one requires no adhesive, and easily adjusts when needed.Past holders never stayed put. And I’d have to re-adhere them constantly. I even bought new adhesives to try and salvage the holder. But the suction and adhesive were terrible.BUT, this one! It holds my phone easily! All I have to do it push in the sides to open the holder for my phone! The last one ended up losing the grip, and this one works by resistance against itself instead of gears with teeth that can slip or break.Easy installation. Only downfall is the bar used to flip the mirror to night vision is not usable, but all you need to do is adjust it manually for the same effect.Best part was the holder extends, retracts, rotates, and swivels easily! This is by far the best holder, and SAFEST holder for my car. Other ones needed me to use both hands for adjustment and even then I never got them the way I needed them. This one is hopefully going to be the last one I ever buy!!
