We replaced a different brand unit that had just worn out after many years. This unit has about the same footprint as the one we replaced and it's taller which for us was a positive because it also has lighted buttons on the top to select heat and digitally pick the desired temperature as well as just run the fan. Doing that manually our old item required sitting on the floor. The remote control that came with it did not work. I corresponded via email with Lasko customer service. They asked me to try a couple of things which I did. Those did not solve the problem so Lasko sent me a replacement via FedEx. Shortly after the time to return to Amazon expired the thermostat that shuts the unit off when it reaches the desired temperature failed. I contacted Lasko Customer Support again and they sent me a new unit which works great. The thermostat gets to the set temperature and shuts off. There’s some difference between the temperature the heater displays and what the room thermometer displays and that’s expected. Once you learn what temperature to set on the heater/fan unit to get the temperature you want in the room all is good. I really appreciate that Lasko stood behind its product. I would buy Lasko again because of that.

We have 3 of them and considering a 4th. Quiet, slim and keeps the room warm especially when you're in-between seasons.

Great for winter. Heater works great.This was my intended purchase.not enough to cool a small office for the summer. Look else where if intended to use for the summer.very sensitive control board on device.Noise level is fine.

So good I bought 2! One for my home office and one for the bathroom.

The first time I used this unit in my Casita, it warmed up from about 30 to 65 degrees in 5 minutes. The thermostat works at the Medium 900W setting as well as High, and kept us comfortable all night, that’s the good news.The BAD, the next time out, the Heat side worked, but the cool Fan side did not. It seems to have all the whistles and bells, but that’s often the sort of thing that eventually has problems, as this one did, a LOT sooner than expected.So, it has been returned and I bought a designated Lasko, as well as a Vonado heater which both work exceptionally well, along with a couple Vornado fans, which also work great. Often times, simple and effective works much better than complicated and cumbersome.

The heat side of this works great! However, the air side only circulates hot air. Returned and would not recommend if you’re in need of cool air.
