Good vegan alternative
Purchased these for my daughters birthday. I am always looking for different vegan treats as my daughter gets fed up of just dark chocolate. A good selection and apparently very tasty according to my daughter and her vegetarian partner (I didn’t get to try one). Would buy again on special occasions. As usual with most vegan stuff they are very pricey which annoys me as they are made with everyday ingredients. I’ve heard a-lot of reasons for the higher pricing and I expect to pay more but double the price is a bit much and being a vegan these days is not a rare thing. You also don’t have to be vegan or lactose intolerant to reduce or cut out your dairy intake but people are not going to make the switch until prices come down.

Completely inedible
So, I have bought these before (from elsewhere) and they were amazing but unfortunately this time the chocolates arrived completely melted and ruined. Going by other reviews these seems to be a recurring issue and needs to be sorted. I managed to get a refund issued eventually but I am still disappointed to say the very least.

Pricey, tasty. Good gift.
Tasty but pricey for what you get. Hotel Chocolat are the best Chocolatier in the UK in my opinion and I love their products. I don't necessarily think this set is value for money, but does make a lovely gift and shows people you're willing to "almost" remortgage your home to buy them these.

Who can resist?
When you buy Hotel Chocolat, you know you're buying quality product that's ethically sourced with more cocoa percentage and less sugar. It's definitely a treat, but I feel good that I'm supporting a UK based company that has its own cocoa plantation and employs native workers in the production of the fruit cultivation. When buying a luxury for yourself or others, it's nice to know you have contributed to something positive also.
