Super Comfortable and Easy to Set Up!
This cot is a total game changer for camping or guests! It sets up in under a minute and feels incredibly sturdy. The built-in mattress pad is way thicker and comfier than I expected — I actually slept through the night without tossing and turning, which never happens when I’m camping. It’s also a great size, especially for taller folks who need that extra length and support.Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade from an air mattress or floor sleeping situation. Worth every penny!

A Lifesaver During Our Hospital Stay for Our Newborn Daughter!
I recently had the opportunity to use the Coleman ComfortSmart Camping Cot with Sleeping Pad during our stay at the hospital for the birth of our newborn daughter. As a husband, I wanted to be there for my wife throughout the process, and this cot made the experience significantly more comfortable. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to set up the cot. It was a matter of minutes before I had a comfortable place to rest, which was invaluable during the long hours at the hospital. The folding mechanism is intuitive and hassle-free, making it easy to move and store when not in use.Comfort is where this cot truly shines. The thick mattress pad provided much-needed support and cushioning, allowing me to get restful sleep despite the understandably stressful environment. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the cot was, considering it’s a portable solution. It’s firm enough to support my back but soft enough for a good night's sleep. The cot's sturdy steel construction gave me confidence in its durability and stability. Even on the hospital room's hard floor, it remained steady and didn’t squeak or shift, which is essential in a quiet hospital environment. The size of the cot is another plus. It's spacious enough to accommodate my height and build comfortably, yet compact enough not to take up too much space in the hospital room. This balance of size and comfort was perfect for our needs.Another aspect I appreciated was the ease of cleaning. Hospital environments require high hygiene standards, and the cot's materials were easy to keep clean and sanitary.Lastly, I want to highlight the versatility of this cot. While it was a lifesaver at the hospital, I can see it being equally useful for camping trips or as an extra bed for guests at home. It’s definitely a multi-purpose item that I see us using for years to come.In conclusion, the Coleman ComfortSmart Camping Cot with Sleeping Pad was an essential item during our hospital stay for the birth of our daughter. It provided comfort, stability, and convenience, making a challenging situation a bit more bearable. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a portable, comfortable sleeping solution.

Great cot, got it for $55, its $143 now, I would *not* pay that for this cot today
This is a great cot. I hate those really skinny, low to the ground cots with cheap fabric that rip. This is not that. We've had it for a few years now, mostly use it for guests or if it's too hot in my room in summer, I will use it to sleep in front of the a/c in the living room sometimes. It's simple to set up, it's big enough for tall/wide people and very comfy. However, I would not pay over $100 for this thing (currently, July 8, 2025, its listed for $143 which is highway robbery, especially on PRIME DAY, jeez). You can get higher quality ones that aren't just fabric, and have nicer quality mattresses for that price. We only use this a few times a year and I have no real complaints, but it's going to break at some point and I won't pay 3 times the price to replace it with the same model

Well Worth The Price
Having family, particularly grandkids as guests, we needed some extra bed space. What attracted me to this Coleman cot was, first of all, the name: American-made and distributed. Second, it was NOT one of endlessly repeated cots on the Amazon pages; all under different obviously made-up names but identical in design, most likely foreign-made and distributed. We were not disappointed.THE GOOD:- This cot is more than ample in size; long enough to accommodate most adults and just as importantly, of more than ample width. Some "bargain" cots in my experience may be of sufficient length but of very narrow width. This one has room for a sleeper to turn over without falling onto the floor.- The mattress is lightweight but thick enough at 2" to offer ample comfort. Additionally it rests on a heavy fabric underlining that attaches to the cot frame with heavy springs spaced just a hair over 6" apart for its entire length and width, offering additional comfort.- The mattress is removable and can be turned over if need be. It is also covered with a thick fabric that appears to be waterproof though to be honest I've not put that to the test.- The frame is tubular, lightweight but at the same time strong. The cot sets up in a few minutes and once set up properly is very sturdy.- Storage is a breeze. The entire unit folds up to just over 6" in width, making it easy to store under a bed, in a closet, etc. Once folded, the top fastens together with vel-cro making a compact, easily-handle-able bundle.THE NOT-SO-GOOD- Careful setting it up. The two end supports go into place easily but the middle support is deceiving: if it isn't exactly in place the cot will collapse. But once in place the cot is very secure and stable. Once you set it up a couple of times the correct position of the middle support becomes obvious.- When folding for storage the whole unit must be compressed at the top so that the vel-cro fastener can be used. Be sure to squeeze it together far enough so that the entire vel-cro surfaces match up. It seems adequate enough to hold things together for now but over the long term....? In any case if the vel-cro ever fails a simple strap or tie would accomplish the same purpose.BOTTOM LINE:Costs more than most of the cots available on Amazon, but you get what you pay for. This is a well-designed, quality item that is obviously built for the long haul. There are a couple of quirks for set-up and storage that one must learn but once that is done this cot should remain serviceable for many years.
