I put this controller on an older 600-watt 24v electric scooter, that has 4 - 12v - 12Ah AGM batteries, and I took the scooter up a long fairly steep hill with about 250 pounds added (including myself), and I didn't have any negative issues with the controller. Nothing got hot, everything worked. You can turn on the switch first, and then turn the knob to start moving (and the knob clicks in and out of its own on position separately).

For starters the label for the connections are not in English, the meter has no way of being able to mount it without gluing it so that was unplugged and not used, I have not put a load on it yet, but not very optimistic about it holding up for a trolling motor.Put a 12 volt trolling motor to it and it burned up within a hour, do not recommend this product.

I use this to power an electric bead roller. It worked great for about 20 minutes and then it started smelling funny and smoke came out of the controller. It’s wide-open now.. I have ordered a second one should be here tomorrow, and I will install it in the same fashion and put power to the input output power to my motor. No shared ground. I added a 12 V computer fan to blow on the control unit that is mounted into an electronics box.Ok after using the unit without speed function I ordered another one, I think I shorted it out somehow installing it, so I put the old one back in and ordered a third one, well, third times a charm, it work as it should, used is of and on throughout the day, worked as it should. It’s very nice when it functions properly, slows my bead roller to a crawl. I like the LED numeric display because it’s directly related to commanded output.I know that forty is a crawl, fifty is half speed and 75 up is high then full speed. If it continues to perform, I’d certainly change my ratings to 4 stars. But the first one failed on its own. It’s perfectly installed and has a cooling fan. Only pulling 2 amps and may peak at about 6.

great for small projects or repairing an old possession you don't want to put a lot of money into. Note: if you need a 20amp controller buy a 40 amp one. Then they will last.

Amazing functionality for such a low cost

It worked as advertised. The only issue I had with it was that the switch and potentiometer cables are inside the casing. So in order to instal them into their final location I had to remove the shroud. It has two screws, the problem was that one of the screws also holds the board in place to the casing which made it difficult to keep the board in place, connect cables, and the keep it all together in a tight location. I ultimately ended up bending the cover.

Seems well built, and works well so far for my application which is to control a 24vdc motor for a power feed on my milling machine. Great deal and compact size.
