Garmin quality product
Works well for both of my dash cams. The power cycles off to prevent battery drainage. I am able to review the footage while sitting in the car now instead of having to remove the micro sd card and loading it into my computer. Great value and compatibility with my 2025 vehicle.

Easy way to supply constant power
Plugs right in to the OBD port and its low profile does not get in the way. It can be set to operate a couple of hours to a day or constant on, but still protects against over discharge of your battery. Better than splicing in or piggybacking off a fuse in the fuse box.

Good product but overpriced
Works as expected. I think the price is too high. There are similar options for less $$$.

Great add-on to the Garmin Mini 2!
This is the 3rd Garmin Mini 2 I have installed. 1st one I used 3 years ago on my '18 Tacoma with a Dongar power mirror tap which still works great. 2nd one on a '19 Rav4 with the supplied 12v adapter in the console with all the wiring hidden away. This time on a '21 Rav4 with this constant power kit. I really like this method with the selection to keep power on for 10 minutes, always on or just turn off with the vehicle. This car doesn't get driven much & sits in a secure garage so I set it to just turn off. If I'm parking in a sketchy place I could just flip the switch to always on (infinity symbol) & then switch it back to off when I get home. Very handy feature! If I lived in a dangerous city this could be used as a layer of security paired up with the Vault online storage for video to catch thieves or vandals. I personally just use an SD card in all 3 & plan to get 1 more camera for another car I have. I do every once in awhile connect with my phone to make sure the cameras are still working fine & aimed correctly. I really like these Garmin mini 2's that are basically a set it & forget it setups but if something happens they seem to be very dependable! Highly recommend them & this constant power cable kit!

Plug and Play
Yeah, you read the description and you are thinking about buying this. Well, it is exactly as easy as they claim. You plug it in and then you plug your camera into the usb. Do you really need any more direction? This thing is absolutely as simple as it gets. I had the old style when you run it to the fuse box in my Jeep. Sure it worked and it was great, but this take out all the guesswork and knowledge of the fuse box (or like in my case, there were zero free fuses available). If you are thinking bout getting this, just go ahead and buy it., Yeah, it is super expensive for what it is, but it pays off in the simplicity of the device.

Easy to Install
The item arrived quickly and made the installation of my Garmin Mini2 dash cam quick and easy. No monkeying around with the fuse box. It unplugs easily if I want to use my scan tool to diagnose a problem with the car. I set it to be active for 10 minutes after I shut off the car and haven't had any issues, with the battery. It is supposed to cut the power to the camera if your battery drops to 12 volts, but that has not been tested by me. You can set it for 24 hours or Infinity as well, but for, now 10 minutes is fine. There are also settings in the Garmin app for how long the camera can stay on.
