BEP710-140A Digital Voltage Sensing Relay (DVSR) 12/24V

Works great. I installed for a dual battery setup in my truck. Camped using the second battery on a roadtrip from NM to CA and back, drained the second battery a couple times, but always had my starting battery topped off and ready to go.Instructions were easy to follow. It mounted easily in my engine bay. Looks good and seems rugged enough to last.

As this relay has been installed for a short time (a few weeks) I consider it has not been stringently tested. At this point it seems to be doing its job perfectly, ensuring that the house battery and starting battery are kept with a full charge by the solar panel without and mysterious events as came to pass from time to time (e.g. Flat starting battery) with the previous relay of a different make. The replaced relay only had the engine alternator charge the house battery when the start battery was fully charged, and of course, only when the engine was running.D R T

Works as designed. Connection posts are a bit awkward where they are placed.

I used mine to power several loads off of my secondary battery. Then I installed the VSR so it allows me to use the override to disconnect these loads from my alternator. My doing this I can eliminate headlight dimming from heavy loading. After use of the override the VSR automatically resumes charging after ten seconds. It’s perfect for my use because heavy loading was straining my alternator. It will save my alternator in the long run and was much cheaper then buying a HO alternator. I also installed a battery switch bypass to jumpstart my truck from the secondary battery. It’s a sweet setup for my purpose. I also use a maintainer/charger 2A, on my vehicle battery at night. Once my start battery is charged the VSR opens to charge my second battery at automatically while parked in the garage! I am very happy!

Keeps your aux battery charged and isolated without any voltage drop. Old school double diode isolates rob .7v on both batteries due to diode junction resistance. Can be wired wit remote switch to defeat it and a remote LED to monitor operation. I've had one on my boat for years and now on my pickup truck too, and they work flawlessly.

I installed this on my pontoon boat (60hp Honda) to recharge an aux battery (for an iceco fridge) when I'm camping on the lake. Soon after starting the engine I can hear a click and the light goes on to indicate we're in business. Our last trip was 9 days long and we never needed to come in to recharge.

It's not too bulky and it's easy to install. The wire terminals could be larger though.

I used this to duplicate the factory dual battery setup in my Yamaha SX210. It’s a similar or identical part judging from the shop manual.
