This spade is amazing. It slices through roots so easily! I dug up a shrub in no time. There is a lip to put your foot on, and the handle is very ergonomic. It's also very light. Highly recommend.

Absolute DB's. Removes big roots with no problems. Dug up a sapling tree that was 5yrs old and all the roots came out like it was a carrot. Bramble roots come out so easily too. So happy with this tool. I can't find enough weeds with big roots to dig up. Unstoppable machine!! \m/_(>_<)_\m/

I use this spade primarily for metal detecting on pasture or fields where the ground is more compacted. It almost effortlessly cuts a clean plug which can then be easily pulled out. The 'O' handle allows for a firm grip by both hands if necessary. The size of the head has its advantages and disadvantages. One the one hand it's lighter to carry around than its larger version which was too heavy for me. Also, it's not so intimidating to look at when asking a farmer for permission to hunt on their land. On the other hand, for ploughed fields or soft soil/sand the head is too small and narrow which makes the ground difficult to scoop up. For the same reasons large holes are also difficult to do. If you're like me and hunting areas with a slightly more compact soil I would highly recommend this spade. Its serrated sides are sharp (which is good) so be careful!

Gets through heavy clay that my usual spade can’t. Handle is good. Narrow, but I need it to be as great to use in a crowded border. Love this spade, has made my work so much easier

Brambles are my utter nemesis. After spending days cutting, hacking, and being pricked by the blasted things, it was time to remove them at last. The roots go deep and are thick and tough. With this, I am able to get them out. It's light, it digs in nicely.

I stumbled on these shovels browsing online….and boy am I glad I got one. It has made my life SO much easier using this to dig holes for landscaping in my yard. I used to dread the time and effort it would take to dig a hole, but this shovel cuts like butter through the roots and soil and sometimes I actually have to be careful not to go too deep now. It also seems very sturdy and ergonomically well designed. Just make sure to research the lengths of each one bc some I saw seemed kind of short/miniature, so if you are taller you would be hunched over. I’m 5’8” and this one works great.

When you need to dig some hard soil this is just the tool you need. Very light and efficient. It digs the hard soil the usual tool couldn’t. Very recommend

honestly it is the best shovel, weed remover and dig tool I have ever used. i adore Fiskers garden tools and rely on them. however this shovel changed my deweeding game! I have been trying to remove buckthorn roots from my propwrty, with this tool I have made short work of those weeds.a powerful and durable tool, that has handled everything from twisting, stabbing and cutting up those persistent parasite of a weed. its my go to and I lock it up nice and tight every time i’m done with it. I couldn’t bear not having it. great design, easy to use and DURABLE!! good job
