Bought 2 for system upgrades so far and very pleased
These have served as upgrades for my 4th Gen K series i7 CPU systems and unlike the gimped 9th Gen version they have provided a solid upgrade and can turbo boost to 4.8 GHZ whenever needed and will hold fast at around 4.3 - 4.5 GHZ for extended periods of time.I am using a half decent Artic air cooler on them and they run much cooler than my older i7 GPUs too so that`s good as wellI matched them with cheap Asrock z series motherboards which are great as they can run the faster ram that the CPU likesVery pleased with them and thanks AMD for kicking Intel up the arse and making them release the 10 series. Note : I defo would not have bought the 9 series equivalents of these !

Mid tier processor
Nice processor at a reasonable price to make a mid range PC for tasks and gaming that doesn’t break the wallet.

Nice and fast in Windows 11
Perfect for my recent upgrade. Windows 11 runs well. Not tried gaming but is excellent for everyday use.

Came quickly and installed without issue. As always, selection was a compromise between price (CPU & required motherboard) and processing power resulting in this i5 replacing and earlier generation i7 with great performance for all our home use requirements.

It's a fast processor
I thought the 9th Generation i7 in my laptop was fast but wow this 10th generation i5 is very impressive.I use a desktop PC as a DAW and I have a lot of soft synths that take a while to load when Cubase boots up but so much quicker with NVME drives. With Cubase running and quite a few very large samples running, the CPU is only running at 22% and the RAM is only using 38%.I've been using a DAW for around 25 years and all the faffing about tweaking a PC to omptomize it for Cubase is now just a distant memory.I also run Plex server on it with my media on my NASes and 4K streaming is perfect. When I first built the PC I went for a B chipset on the motherboard which was a right pain as I had one SATA HDD I wanted to carrying on using. Nothing Gigabyte tech support suggested so I returned it and bought a Z chipset motherboard. When I first priced up the components, a friend suggested using a Z based chipset motherboard and an Intel 11th generation CPU and although there was only a difference of around £60 I decided not to.The new motherboard has 1 x pcie x4 and 2 x pcie 3 NVME slots but the x4 can only be used with an 11th generation CPU so I ended up kicking myself but with the performance of this 10th generation i5 is more than fast enough for me.
