Exactly as advertised. Easy to replace. APC does not use the high-rate UPS grade batteries in most of their battery kits. APC generally does use pretty good quality battery brands. You can rebuild your existing cases and wiring using decent similar quality batteries and save maybe $100-$150, but if you use the better quality UPS rated high drain rate batteries, you only save about $50-80 per pair of packs. If you get the replacement batteries much cheaper, then likely they are not very good batteries.These APC RBC140 packs use 8x 12V 5Ah F2 terminal (0.25 inch) batteries in each frame (16 batteries total as there are 2 Frames to a kit.) It is easier to replace the entire pack with this unit than to rebuild. Sourcing good quality batteries is not always easy (most local batteries from a battery store you find are pretty poor and designed for alarm systems, not UPS units). Shipping is often high for many of them that are not local. As a quick test check the weight of the SLA replacement batteries compared to the original. Many local SLA batteries are 15-25% lighter and contain less metal (mostly lead, some have some calcium as well). Many of the local easy to find battery store batteries only last 1-2 years while the better quality ones and even the APC OEM last 3-6 years. (I typically get about 5 years.) CSB, YUASA, BB, CP Vision are good brands. Werker, Duracell various UB knockoffs are not.

This is for the PC UPS Battery Replacement, APCRBC140. I purchased a unit in Oct 2021, that was from Amazon Services. At the end of May 2023 the UPS told me the battery needed to be replaced, so I ordered another set in June 2023 (this one from PC Nation). This set the unit could not be recognized by the UPS when I plugged it in, but when I put the original back in it said the original battery was now fine. Very odd.I called APC support and they shipped me out replacement units (RMA Warranty) for the batteries I just bought in June 2023. I plugged these in, and right away they worked.So it seems we have a 50/50 chance of getting batteries that work. Other than the massive pain and time involved of having to deal with the RMA, at least I did get working batteries. That said I will probably just order direct from APC next time as the little bit of money I saved was not worth the issues.As for the battery life, my other UPS units were all replaced at the exact same time in 2021, and all of them are still doing fine. The APCRBC140 unit is the only one that has had issues prior to the 2 year mark. So overall, if you need to save a few bucks go for it. And if it gives you a replace battery alert, disconnect and reconnect it. to see if that fixes the issue.

Well built and easy to install. These batteries are heavy though, so don't try to carry both at once.

The batterIES are great. However, this listing has the quantity wrong. It states "1 lithium ion batteries" and later it states "Sold as 1 each". Our UPS required 4 batteries so I ordered 4. I got 8 because they come 2 per box. It took a bit of a hassling with Amazon but we got a refund for the excess.

OEM replacement and a bargain price. Easy replacement and worked like a charm.

Top plate screws were missing and the batteries fell out when removed from package to install. It took a while to figure out exactly the arrangement of wiring and insulators to reassemble this. Shippers aren’t careful with heavy packages either. It did work finally though.

The batteries sprung my UPS back to life and the overall cost was pretty reasonable but one of the battery systems WILL NOT slide all the way into the UPS. I am not sure what is dented or out of alignmenet but something is keeping it from going all the way in. The other one went in fine. Aside from that, it was several hundred dollars less than the next battery pack, so I live with it. But it's sort of janky looking. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
