I used this on my dog's leg when he had a wound then wrapped it to keep it clean. It seems to work, but I wish it had a different smell. The dog still wants to lick the bandages.

My dog had a scrape I hadn’t noticed until I noticed him licking his paw more than the usual cleaning. Long story short a vet visit was out of the question so I went online and found this. Honestly, I got this and immediately put it on his paw and he took a smell of it, let it alone and I never had to apply it again. I thought for sure it would take a few applications but amazingly it only took one. Yes, yes, yes I would buy again but I think this going to be sitting on the shelf since it worked so well. Apparently it didn’t cause any discomfort to the raw skin since my dog just looked at it and smelled it. Five stars for sure.

Works as stated but takes a few days to see the beginning of healing

My little pup had a rash on his balls. Yep his balls. One was red, inflamed and looked like skin was missing. We have another dog who is a puppy and we caught what happened, she nips at his ankles etc. we got this to help heal him and keep him from licking. Not only did it help but it was clear he wasn’t hurting anymore, redness was gone and he no longer wanted to keep licking it. Only downside is it’s like Vaseline and when he would lay on the couch or bed it stained. Having stains were better than our pup in pain though so I recommend this product.

This Sulfodene 3 way ointment is my go-to for both of my pooches skin needs. It works wonders and I ALWAYS keep a tube or two on hand because I use it faithfully. My dogs are getting older which mean they are suffering more from skin irritants, allergies, topical bacteria and fungal infections which can trigger excessive scratching. After a few applications of the Sulfodene ointment, both my dogs' skin heal completely. I use this ointment regularly and highly recommend it if your dog suffers from sensitive skin, hot spots, or is in need of a topical moisturizer for dry skin.
