Easy an great addition
Great to add for upstairs bedroom, setting them up to each room, and how it adjusts temperature to get it more comfortable for bedrooms and the motion detection kool. Overall easy install and connection to main thermostat.

Work exactly as advertised.
The Ecobee smart room sensors provide the thermostat with a window into the climate status within areas of your home that wouldn't normally be controlled. For instance, if you place it in an office, you can see the temperature in the office in the Ecobee app. You can name the sensors whatever you'd like. The thermostat calculates the average temperature throughout the home using these sensors. It then uses the result to determine how much or little to control the climate in that room in order to keep it within the range set at the thermostat. In addition, it can tell if someone is using the room where it's located in order to save power. Not in the room? Ecobee disregards the averaging feature for that room. Once someone enters, it begins again. They're very easy to use. There is no need to turn them on or off. They are extremely sensitive and reliable, and they have a very clean design.

Works great, even inside a fridge!
These sensors are awesome, and accurate. One is in my fridge, and my Exobee thermostat app displays the temp; it was hard to find a sensor that would work inside the refrigerator! All my sensors display on the app. Love it.

Overpriced but works well
My apartment's management recently had new ecobee 3 Lite thermostats installed in all residents' apartments, which has been a game changer in terms of scheduling and comfort. Initially, I struggled with it properly cooling my home, mainly due to my apartment's layout – it's small but long and narrow, with extreme temperature differences between rooms. The bedroom gets a lot of afternoon sun, making it uncomfortably warm in summer, while the living room receives only morning sun. The thermostat is located in the hallway between these two spaces, which made temperature control challenging. To enhance the comfort in both rooms, I decided to invest in the ecobee sensors. So far, they have exceeded my expectations! They’re compact, which means I can place them without adding visual clutter to my space. Pairing them with the thermostat was a breeze, and I love the ability to assign them to specific comfort settings within the ecobee app. During the day, the sensor in the living room takes charge, and at night, the one in the bedroom kicks in, optimizing comfort where I need it most. I even opted not to include the hallway thermostat in my schedule since it’s not a space where I spend time, which gives me more control and customization. My only significant drawback, however, is the price. Even if I owned my home, I would feel uneasy about paying an extra hundred dollars for two small sensors. Since I’m renting, it feels even less justifiable, as I won’t be able to take the ecobee thermostat with me when I eventually move out. The sensors, while effective, seem overpriced for what they are, leaving me with a bit of buyer's remorse regarding the investment. Nonetheless, they have contributed positively to my comfort, which balances out some of my concerns. Overall, I’m pleased, but the cost is something to consider!

The product is great, but I have removed them from my account
We have natural gas baseboard heating with five zones, and there are a couple of cold spots, such as the downstairs WC.These send a message to the thermosat to keep heating, raising those cold spots; they work great with two side effects. The main room becomes too hot as it exceeds the thermostat threshold, trying to keep the cold spots warm. Our gas bill went through the roof; it added at least $100 to our monthly gas bill.I have disconnected them and just put them in the kitchen drawer of forgotten things. The devices work and do what they are supposed to, but the added running cost was not expected.

Great fix if your thermostat Is in a bad location!
My thermostat is in the main bedroom, which gets hit with strong evening sun and completely throws off the AC. It used to run nonstop trying to cool that one hot room, even though the rest of the house was already fine. My electric bill was way too high because of it and the rest of my house was freezing. These room sensors solved the problem.I put one sensor in the living room and one in the kitchen, both mounted just above the light switches using the included sticky wall mounts. They’re super small and easy to hide, and you can also use the magnetic stands if you’d rather place them on a shelf. The app lets you choose how to use the sensors, either average all of them together or pick specific ones to focus on. I disabled the bedroom sensor and told it to only use the kitchen and living room sensors, which made a big difference. They also detect which rooms are occupied and prioritize keeping those areas comfortable, which is a really smart touch. Plus, you can monitor and see the temps in all the rooms at the same time on the app which is great. So far, I’m really happy with them. If your thermostat is stuck in a bad location like mine, I’d absolutely recommend giving these a try.
