Doesn't blow me away but isn't bad for the money to me.
1)The cassette player:a.When one side of the cassette is done, the unit does not switch over to the other side of the cassette for continuous play. In the manual it says, "To avoid damaging the tape, it is recommended to take the cassette tape out of the deck after listening." So make sure to eject the tape immediately after each side has ended.b.It doesn't have a rewind button. It uses just one button which will only fast forward or eject the tape. Fast forwarding won't just go to the next song and then play that song at the beginning.c.For those who care about where the cassette tapes goes in, you insert them into the cassette deck on the left side silver slot of the unit.d.The manual says to avoid use of 120 minute cassettes. I suppose because the tape strength is weaker than cassettes with shorter amounts of tape.e.Although it plays, the cassette player speed sounds slower than normal to me.2)The record player will play at 33, 45 and 78 RPM. The arm is not automatic so you do have to manually put the needle on and off the record. The player does have an auto stop switch so it will stop the turntable when the record is done unless you turn that off. It also comes with its own adapter so you can play 45s on it.3)The stereo has an auxiliary input socket which allows you to plug in other music playing devices such as an iPod or iPhone. However, the RCA cable that connects your device to the stereo is sold separately. Also, when using this feature, max the volume on the stereo before adjusting the volume through your iPhone or iPod.4)The front display window will only light up when CD's are played. It turns off for everything else.5)This unit comes with one of those floppy wire antennas and not the metal extendable type.6)The speakers that connect to the unit don't go out very far from the unit (maybe about 3-4 feet). They do seem small in size but do not expect great quality theater or surround sound.

Jensen stereo unit is a good buy.
I have tried the CD and the AM and FM radios and it works fine. I bought it mainly for the turntable but haven’t used it yet. I don’t expect the cassette feature to be used for quite some time. I’m happy with the unit for now.

Not for use for audio cassette transfer to pc.
We bought this for copying old cassettes to the PC. Unhappy with the $20 items that focused on mp3 we were excited about reviews of this and in part based on reviews, and the lack of negative reviews on the cassette player, purchased it, thinking it would last into the future for archiving cassettes and records. Now we wish we had simply gone to the thrift store for an old cassette player. In archiving cassettes, we had wanted to get the recordings off the cassette as WAV files before converting to mp3, thus saving directly to flash drive wasn't something we wanted. Based on our limited experience with the small $20 units we assumed this unit would at least match other options out there. Shame on us for not researching it more, It the was a rash purchase supported with trust based on the Jensen name. The radio works, we have not tried the record or CD players. So this is a review on the cassette player. The only output ports are the RCA Jack's and the headset port. We expected a USB, so obviously didn't research it sufficiently. RCA to computer doesn't work without an adapter, and although we have an RCA to USB that was previously used for transferring VHS cassettes to computer, the audio from this Jensen player was not detected. We ended up using the line in connection from headphone jack to the computer microphone input. It works, but not elegantly, and there was no mic jack on our laptop so it is connected to the PC.More significant, however, is the lack of control of the cassette player. You have three options -play, FF, and stop. No reverse, rewind, or record. or automatic reverse to play side B. It also does not work from the remote. With 300 cassettes to get to wav on the PC we are planning a trip to the thrift store for an old cassette player/recorder that will provide newer technology, or at least a rewind button. We are rather ashamed of this purchase for not better researching this. And although acknowledge we were looking for inexpensive, and that we opted to purchase this because some day we may want to archive records, we regret the purchase. If we had kept the box we would have tried to return it for something with USB output and a rewind button.Again, to be fair, the radio seems to work, we have not yet tried CD or records, and we can't speak to speaker quality. If you are looking to transfer audio cassette look further than this. For mp3 just get the cheap $20 options. We are off to try the thrift stores to get something with rewind options.

NEED BETTER BASS
For a small room it is a good stero. The bass could be a lot better.

Good quality sound system.
Have been looking & comparing a sound system that would have radio, turntable, CD & cassettes to no avail. This Jensen system had it all plus 3 speed turntable that can accommodate 33/45/78 records. All with a remote control! Found the instruction manual fairly easy to follow & really only have to attach speaker wires to main console. Reasonable price.

Good Value/Sound
I'm "happy" with this product, particularly for the money. You get AM/FM radio, CD player, cassett player, a turntable and separate speakers for a relatively economical price. One thing I don't care for is having to set the stylus on the records to begin playing and then having to return manually the arm to the holder when the side is through playing. It makes you, however, take more care (mindfulness if you will) with your playing in a way, appreciating each record more by not setting a bunch of records to run through like so much ear candy.
