The bad news is the cable is underwhelming and unless one is locking 2 helmets the cable can be discarded.The good news isThis lock "looks" impressive, has a decent heft and appears to be made from weather-resistant materials.My opinion, the easiest way to lock most any helmetis to thread the Carribeaner through the "D" ring of the helmet,then perch the helmet on the motorcycle's mirror as to shed water if it rainsthen place a brake cable through the carribeanner(or if in a hurry thread the mirror post into the carribeanner )and close the lock.A thief will either see the lock and move on or lift the helmet only to find it tethered/locked.Either way, your helmet remains un-stolen.I feel this lock provides medium security."medium security" meaning: visible security coupled with enough strength to withstand a mischievous attempt at entry.Medium security protects from:* the "honest" person who might be tempted at theft if they stumbled upon unguarded valuables.* the mischievous thief (kid) who on a lark or dare wants to attempt a theft.

Poor quality. Threw one away because when I was setting the pin, the reset switch engaged. This caused itself to set to random pin.

For the price it's exactly what I was expecting. It's nothing SUPER tuff that I would use if I parked my bike overnight on the city streets or anything but for occasions where you just can't take a $200 helmet into the movie theater or restaurant or wherever it works great. If someone REALLY wants your helmet they could cut through the cable with a small bolt cutters but at least it keeps some jerk from just snatching it and walking away.

Cheaply made and hard to use. The numbers are not smooth to turn and get stuck together. I use it as a helmet lock and it does the job, but is a pita to unlock when it's time to go.As far as theft deterrent, it works. But, could easily be broken if someone really wanted my helmet. Shoulda spent an extra little bit...

It will keep me honest thief honest it’s nice for liking of items that are not very expensive because there’s a small paint on the bottom that could be forced where the hinge is . Overall it works great for tying up your shoes at the waterpark or keeping a book bag safe in a decent area .

Took a minute to program my own combination.

It’s short for my Harley & my helmet, but the lock is great, would defiantly recommend a longer chain.

It’s crap. Jammed up the first time I tried to set my own combination and I couldn’t get it reset had to throw the lock away.

It's not exactly good quality - pretty light and flimsy really and isn't going to deter anyone but a casual thief. Be careful that the little lever used to set the code doesn't move mid-set, otherwise you might (like me) have a lock I couldn't open until I retraced my steps from it's 0000 starting position to the code I was going to set. Lo uso per assicurare il sellino della bici pieghevole, mi consente di abbassare e alzare la sella senza dover mai toccare il lucchetto. È utile per scoraggiare il furto di oggetti di poco valore, altrimenti si taglia con la più piccola delle tronchesi.

Le cadenas est bon , la boucle est solide et recouvert de noir ( pas de la peinture mais plutot poudré qui devrait resté dans le temps ) Le système de combinaison fait sont travail , la fixation semble en peu fragile ( il faudrait tester ça en essayant de le forcer ) mais une fois refermé et bloqué cela reste valable. Le fil en acier est recouvert également se qui est pratique afin de ne pas abimé ce que l'on souhaite attacher . bref un bon produit

Sinceramente... el cable muy fino... no me da mucha seguridad. Viene sin instrucciones y aún estoy viendo como ****** se cambia la clave... Para el precio que tiene me esperaba, al menos, buen servicio. Ni eso.
