At the time I bought this pond light (my intention for it’s use), the website page didn’t indicate it required Hard Wiring. I have no clue how to wire electronics and don’t want to start now. I’m just bummed because it took so long to receive...only to find out it requires an electrician, or someone adept with wiring.It looked so nice and I hated sending it back.

The seal on this underwater light looks very robust, and I would expect that it stays waterproof for a very long time. The rest of the light seems to be very high quality. It comes with a very long electrical cord and 2 outdoor wire nuts. I have the light in my koi pond and it illuminates the waterfall as I had hoped it would. I’ll update this review if any problems arise.

My husband who is a licensed electrical contractor put the bulb in after hooking this up to a transformer which you need to make the light work, (would be nice) if they told you that, they didn't , so we had to buy a transformer and hook it up. Anyway the light bulb doesnt work, we had to call our supply house to get a bulb, it also doesnt come with a plug. So if your not an electrician this light is not going to be an easy install. The quality of the light itself is good., but these other issues will be a problem if your not at least somewhat electrically savvy !

Appears to be well made but never installed it since the cord was only 15 feet long, NOT 30 feet as specified. Wasted a lot of my time.
