Matr Boomie Cute Handmade Rosewood Cat Eyeglass Spectacle Holder Stand Display Optical Glasses Accessories

I debated about purchasing this for a while since there are other wooden animal eyeglass holders for less money. In the end, I'm so glad I did! Not only is its high-quality superior to the less expensive wooden owl I purchased from a different seller, but the sourcing of the wood and pay to the artisan carver is ethical. The wood is solid, both in that it is truly one solid piece of wood and in its density. It is finished so smoothly and without any malodor. Its design is very thoughtful and functional. This is the 4th wooden eyeglass holder I've puchased and the only one that holds either my spectacles or my iPhone 6 in Lifeproof case where I can view its screen without significant obstruction. I do need to have the phone facing the back of the cat for screen view in landscape orientation but the bonus is the cat has a very cute tail! If facing forward, the ears get in the way.This cat is very compact and takes up minimal space compared to the more elaborate peacock or even the sparrow. The only slight disappointment was that the wood I received was darker than that pictured. Since they are individually carved by hand from wood of trees that have already died, I imagine there is variety in each piece. The darker wood is beautiful, too, just slightly harder to see the details. The gift box it comes in is very nice and special and reminds us it is made with care and made to last. I am very impressed with Matr Boonie and have already ordered from them again. The wood is so smooth and feels so good to the touch! Very eclectic glasses holder. Looks like the cat is wearing glasses :) The base is stable, and the wood looks great and comes polished. I've really been enjoying using it and my glasses no longer just get thrown anywhere on my desk.

It is small which is great for taking up less space however I do think it is a bit overpriced.

I bought this as a gift for my son who loves cats. It's really cute and sturdy. His glasses have never had a better place to rest!
