Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Lotion is the real thing. It delivers a pure bronze tan that'll knock your socks off. I'll explain..I've been self tanning now for just under four months and initially I went with Jergens Natural Glow which, is good though doesn't really produce results that are immediately noticable. Even after repeated applications the "Glow" produced is very subtle, delivering basically just a bit of color. This tanning lotion is competitively priced, goes on smooth and doesn't have an unpleasant scent. Jergens is good for a catchall backup tanner.Next I tried Banana Boat Summer Color which is similar to Jergens though produces just a bit more tanning effects. Another good backup tanner that delivers a low/medium range tan that is very inexpensive.I've been researching deeper color tanning lotions and read the great reviews of Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Lotion in Amazon, therefore I gave the darkest shade a try. I was thoroughly shocked and delighted by the instant bronze glow this tanner produced. Excellent is an understatement for the deep glowing bronze tan this lotion immediately produces. This tanner is absolutely perfect, even better than St. Tropez. Extreme high quality here. It's a total game changer yet there are some facts that one needs to know before the initial application.This tanning lotion is very dark brown. It reminds me of hair color/tint. It's almost necessary to wear plastic gloves as it immediately adheres to the skin. Be careful not to get too much on your skin. After your tanning is completed it does take a few hand washes to get it off. If not careful, you'll stain your hands. This lotion is extremely intense and pure.I immediately noticed a delightful cherry 🍒scent to this lotion. Sweet and pleasant, really nice.Utilizing a tanning mit and back tanning mit are absolutely essential when using this tanning lotion, or any self-tanning lotion of course. This self-tanning lotion goes on pure and smooth and you can immediately see where your coverage extends. It's absolutely fantastic. An immediate tan is produced yet it gets even better.As your completing your body tanning coverage you'll notice it gets even darker. I wanted to go "super dark" therefore I tanned with this lotion two days in a row. My body coverage was perfect yet when applying the lotion to my face it got even darker. Wow! Rather than panic I decided to touch up areas on my body that needed a bit more coverage and then noticed that the facial blend after a while does balance out and blend in really nice. Just be careful as to how much lotion you're applying. Don't over apply too much.This Self tanning lotion will produce a deep bronze tan easily 2-3 shades darker for most complexions. Personally, I have a fair complexion with a nice amount of natural color. This self-tanning lotion has allowed me to go the approximately three shades darker that I desired.Incidentally, I use a blending brush when applying self tanning lotion to my face. I purchased a two-pack in Amazon for around five dollars and they last for years. I highly recommend the brush when applying tanner lotion or mousse to the face. You can't go wrong. Blending in self-tanning lotion is quick and painless. A done deal.Also, I apply moisturizer shortly before the application of self tanning lotion. Moisturizing allows the tanning effect to blend smoothly rather than clinging to dry areas leaving that unbalanced, blotchy, streaked look. Believe me, I've been there. The last couple of months for me have been a complete crash course in competent self tanning factors and procedures. I also apply moisturizer on days when I'm not self tanning, which extends that smooth, perfectly tanned look.As far as moisturizers go, I recommend Jergens, eos and Schick Hydro Silk Shave Cream & 24 Hour Moisturizer. They're competitively priced here in Amazon and are all extreme high quality. In all honesty, I think eos produces a smoothness unparalleled by any other moisturizer that I've tried so far. I've included photos demonstrating the research I've done on self tanning lotions and moisturizers. As you can see, I've built up quite a selection of both. Proper moisturizing before and in-between self tanning is essential in extending the life of that tan.I wait 8-10 hours before showering and this is where time, patience, attention to detail and caution payoff. The tan and glow produced here is absolutely perfect.A deep, pure, glowingbeautiful tan is revealed after showering. Totally amazing, stunning and perfect.Sun Laboratories does offer self tanning lotion for the face only, which I haven't tried yet. It produces a gradual tanning effect rather than the immediate tan produced by their regular/dark body lotion. I'll be ordering it shortly.You'll see in the pics I included here the other self tanners I previously used before I tried the Sun Laboratories self-tanning lotion as noted above. They will not be purchased again. This Self tanning lotion is in that class of the very best, highest quality self tanning lotion currently available to us self tanners. It's priced under thirty dollars for the large size so that makes it very competitive price wise. Again, the quality here is second to none.This Self tanning lotion has honestly earned my very highest recommendation for results immediately experienced, that sweet cherry scent and price. Sun Laboratories has knocked it out of the park, a grand slam on every level. I won't hesitate to purchase this self tanning lotion again. The results produced here are absolutely awesome. Nothing short of amazing.✨

One of the better tanning products I’ve used! I’m very pale. Like translucent haha, so I’ve tried it all. This does not turn me orange thank god. It’s easy to apply. I don’t have a fancy mitt so I use a rubber glove and it still spreads really evenly. I highly suggest using a glove, towel, mitt etc bc it will turn ur hands colors! Once I’m done applying where I want it, I lightly rub on the top of my hands. I apply it 3 times and then let it go for a couple days showering etc, and then touch up from there. It gives me a nice even glow without being too obvious. Great for the price!

I have tried countless self tanning products, spray tans and even had my own airbrush machine. I have been obsessed with achieving the perfect bronze tan for almost 2 decades and am always looking for the latest products to help me reach my goal.I really like that this product came with a pump for easier distribution of product. Also included in the box were heart stickers and gloves. There was not an application mitt included but I would highly recommend buying one separating or using one you already have. When I tried to apply without the gloves it was pretty hard to blend and looked streaky.The product comes out a thicker consistency but also kind of watery, the best way I can describe it is similar to a chocolate syrup. It is very wet. I really like the undertone of the formula, it applies as a nice bronze color and does not look orange at all. It does take a bit of times to blend, definitely take your time or it can apply unevenly. This is another reason why using a mitt is so important because it helps absorb some of the product making it easier to get a seamless blend.Before applying ANY self tanner it is so important to prep properly. Make sure you shower, shave, exfoliate and moisturize. I cannot stress this enough. If you are not properly exfoliating you are going to look patchy, the product is going to pill and cling to dry spots and it’s going to look awful no matter how amazing the product is.Some pro tips:1. wash, shave, exfoliate, moisturize2. Make sure your skin is completely dry before application3. Apply Vaseline on hands, feet, elbows, knees or any areas you don’t want the product to cling to4. When applying to face, neck and chest use a fluffy makeup brush. It will help distribute the product super evenly and keep it out of your hair line. I recommend applying it to your face in the same way you would contour for a snatched effortless look.5. Use a mitt6. Have a friend help you with your back.7. When you do your hands and feet gently pat whatever product is leftover on the mitt over these areas, do not rub or apply moreLeave the product on 6-8 hours before getting wet. It ALWAYS looks better after a shower. I did not experience a weird smell with this product and I really appreciated it didn’t have the traditional “fake tan” scent. I also did not have any staining on my hands or sheets. Once I showered it was a pretty bronze color but not 100% even and that was a bit frustrating as I like to consider myself a pro. The product was not the easiest to work with and a bit messy. It is a very beautiful sun kissed tone and I will use the rest of the bottle but for the price I am not sure I will purchase this again. There are so many incredible self tanners on the market and sometimes it takes trial and error to find what works best for you.

I have never used self-tanner. I was very nervous to use this. I used the QR code in the package. it took me to a few YouTube videos, they didn't help. I did look online on other sources to figure out the best way to use this. I exfoliated and moisturized beforehand. it wasn't the best smelling when I rubbed it all over me. it went well dried fast. I waited 6 hours before washing the rest off. overall, it worked very well and lasted longer than I expected.

This provided a nice, deep tan. It left my fair skin looking like I’d been at the beach! It’s easy to see where you apply the product due to the tint, which I personally like, as it’s easier to get a more even tan this way. It didn’t stain my sheets which was my biggest fear with this (or any other self-tanning product). I just wish it came with a mitt!
