Laces in front purely decorative.
So, I thought it was a lace in front corset and the front lacing is just decorative. I did use it to cinch my belly in a bit to close the busk, but that will ultimately ruin the ribbon, so... don't do that. I'm 225 lbs, 5'1". Have been wearing a 5x corset that is closed completely so time to go.down one size. This 4x is pushing things, though. See the large gap in the back. I absolutely hate the straps, they pull down on my shoulders like a bra does on a heavy woman and that's why I started wearing corsets bc bras suck. They serve no bust squishing purpose or anything, so I just tuck them in. I tested all the bones with a magnet and they are all steel. My bust finally fits bc I went down a size. The string in back is tough and plenty long for my fat belly to work with. The whole corset itself seems heavy duty. You have to take off thay lacing in front to fasten the busk and then put it back on bc it's annoying and gets in the way. There is no privacy panel in front like it says, only in back. For the price, it's pretty tough and heavy, I was surprised. So it still gets 5 stats for having steel bones (spiral I think, on all), and good lacing in back even though the shoulder straps are just short and stupid. I hate them. My little black magnet is in one if the pics and I took the pic w#out the front laces bc I'm more.interested in waist cinching than ribbon all over the place in my way. See pics on my fat, bloated belly. Good indication of how much back lacing is on a 4x. My 5x different name brand won't tie around me like this. So if you are built like me and have no waist, this one will give you a waist when you cinch it down and it hasn't stretched much.

Amazing corset for a killer deal!
This corset is very high quality. Nice durable material, steel boning, thick strong stitches. From someone who shops for $200 corsets normally this one was very well made for the cost. This corset originates from Corsetstory.com on the packaging and they are very trustworthy corset brand. The sizing chart is very accurate as well. Bought a medium for my mother and it fit her well. Had to cinch it in all the way but she has a very tiny waist. The color is a feminine dusty rose/blush pink while the laces in back are cream. Also includes a nice modesty panel in back. Only comment is the metal hooks in front are a tad difficult to work but once on it looks lovely. For under $50 a well worth it purchase!

My First Corset
I love it! It's so pretty! I've never worn a corset before, but as far as putting it on, it was pretty self-explanatory. I had to loosen it A LOT before putting it on (it required about 5-6 tries: putting it on, taking it off, and loosening, repeat.) I was able to put it on by myself, but it would have been easier with help. Im almost certain I didn't have it as tight as history says I should have it. It looks like good quality, no stray threads, or runs on the ribbon. The back lace-up is like a thick shoe string, it feels strong. I was confident that it would not rip when I pulled it tight. Metal clasps in front seem to be attached firmly. I am really happy with it!

Very good looking and well made
I am very pleased! This looks even better than pictured. I'm not tiny and it fit well. It is sturdy and wore well all evening, not cheap plastic boneing that's going to bow out a half hour in.I still don't recommend tight lacing the heck out of it, that's not really what this is made for in my opinion but it looks fantastic.I wore it in combination with a huge skirt to a masked ball and it was stunning.A bit of advice, since you can't really open the front because of the laces, well you could but it would possibly take forever to get it looking right again, I loosened the back out a Lot and pulled the whole thing, closed, over my head and kinda wriggled into in still clasped shut in the front, then I tightened the back. I really liked not having to mess with those front closer thingies, I always have a hard time with them anyway. (It did have help making this easier but it's always easier to have help with corsets)Another tip, be honest with yourself about sizing. When in doubt, go up a size, you can always tighten it.

Surprisingly good!
This is a great corset, especially for the price. However, there’s only steel boning on either side of the grommets. The rest is plastic. That being said, this is very supportive. For reference, I’m a US 18/20 on top and 20/22 on bottom and I got the XXXXXL (5X). A 6X would have fit a bit better, but it’s definitely wearable! I’m pretty short (5’3”) and have a short torso and high hips. This corset came down to about mid-hip for me, about where you’d wear mid-rise jeans or leggings.Would recommend, but check the size chart and maybe order a size up from that.

Very pretty, and I was hoping this would fit well
Very pretty, and I was hoping this would fit well, but it did not. I have a short waist, curvey, and the sides of this corset were too high cutting into the under arm, even after carefully measuring before ordering. Shame, as it is beautiful fabric and is made well. Refund took along time.

so follow the sizing chart and you should be fine!
Very sexy....a real pain in the posterior to get it on..needed help from a friend...but once I was in it...wow...I wore it with jeans and a leather jacket and boots...got lots of compliments...it does run small, so follow the sizing chart and you should be fine!

Cute, but not really a corset
I'm sort of an inverted triangle - 38-32-35. The XL fits pretty well if I let the top out and cinch in everything else. It's cute, but not a real corset. I was expecting one of those squash your ribs old fashioned things that really compress you. This is more a decorative top. It digs into the hips and armpits a bit, but that's probably because I'm 5 feet tall. It would be fine on a taller person.
