These shades are a great value. They are easy to order, and come with plenty of available sizes to ensure a good fit for your windows. Once they arrived, it's a few minutes from unpacking them to complete installation - the most difficult part is really ensuring the lift assist handle is snapped tightly onto the lower bar.The shades look great, and are simple to use - they are really easy up and easy down, and stay put once you have your desired position. They do a wonderful job at blocking out light in my very sunny (and glare-filled) living/entertainment room.I will be slowly replacing all of my shades throughout the house with these.

This shade really was simple to install, it actually took longer to measure my window to order the right size than it did to click it into place. We are going to order more for our other windows now that we know how easy they are and how good they look! It blocks out the light well, too. The other thing I like is that there are no holes to drill in the wall, trim, window casing - nowhere! If you ever want to remove it, just pop it back out and no holes left behind.

The 'Redi Shade Simple Fit Made to Width Custom Cordless Honeycomb Cellular Shades, Cream Blackout' are easy to install and relatively inexpensive (compared to custom order blinds, like Hunter Douglas). However, because of the space needed to accommodate the no drill mounting mechanism, there is a noticeable amount of light leaks on the sides of the blinds - about 1/4" on the left side and 1/2" on the right side. For the two windows in the room I have these blinds installed in, they do get the room pretty dark when there is bright, direct sunlight outside. But the light leaks on the sides do illuminate the room more than I would like.So it's a tradeoff on whether you are willing to pay for custom blinds that will have a tighter fit and less light leakage, or if you can live with it and save yourself some time and money. The Redi Shade blinds arrived quickly and again were easy to install.I measured and double-checked precisely the exact width of the window, and I also emailed the Redi Shade company directly. They specified to order exactly your precise width measurement and to not factor in any buffer for the mounting mechanism. I found this guidance to be spot on - the tension mounting mechanism worked as advertised. (If you really want the tightest fit possible though, you can add at MOST an additional 1/8" to your measurement. My two cents though - YMMV.)

I really did not want to damage the custom window frames in my house and needed to be able to install the blind without assistance. These blinds did the trick, with one glitch. On either end there are sticky pads exposed and because my blind was a relatively tight fit, I had problems with the sticky pads touching the window frame before they were in place, and then having to wrestle the blind away from the frame. All in all, would recommend.

All the good things you read about this are true. My window measured 63.5 inches which is the size I ordered. It fit perfectly and took all of five minutes to install.

Easy to install...easy to use, keeps out heat and light. My kids all all under age 9 and can open and shut without messing them up.
