Great product.....read the paper instructions, it explains it
I'm not going to lie. It took me a minute to figure this product out, but if you read the instructions carefully (not on the back of the product, the manual), it makes sense. I use this to do a quick workout and time my set with the rest time. I love it and it gets the job done.

Very cheaply made; Poor instructions; Poorly packaged; NOT RECOMMENDED
This interval timer works, but the instructions are poor and it's not very intuitive to figure out. This timer is made of plastic and is very cheaply made. The knobs were bent, and the abbreviated instructions written on the unit were smeared such that they are barely readable. The If this unit only cost $10, I might give it 2 stars. As it is, it is grossly overpriced for the poor construction quality. This unit came wrapped in a bag, and not in a box.

Good Product | Bad Instructions
I like this timer. It works every time, and it's got a loud (and adjustable) beep that's easy to hear, which makes it perfect for timing my heavy bag workouts. I even like the industrial, retro look-and-feel of the timer. But the user instructions are some of the worst I've ever seen. I followed the quick-reference instructions imprinted on the top of the timer as well as the longer paper instructions. They are simply wrong. I tried them multiple times, carefully following each step. They did not work. So I played around with the timer until I figured out the right sequence of buttons to push. I then wrote my own simple and short instructions -- just three steps to set up a simple workout. So it turns out the timer really is simple to use -- but you'd never know it from the instructions.

Not great but works.
Keeps time. Difficult to program and the volume is low.

This is my all-time favorite timer. It would have a 5-star review however ...
I own two of these. This is my all-time favorite timer. It would have a 5-star review however the timer i received has a chunk of dirt or debris or something that is under the glass and in front of the digital display. It is constantly there and almost looks like a decimal point when i use the timer. Kind of annoying. I would have returned it for a new one but i need it every day for a class i teach.

Great for resistance training
I use this timer several times a week and I really like it. If you do any sort of resistance training where you rest X amount of time between sets, but you rest Y amount of time between EXERCISES, then this will work very well for you. Just map one of your times to T1 and another to T2. I think there are even 3 more times you can map under MY TIME, but I don't use them. This product has gotten some bad marks for its difficulty in configuring, but there's really nothing to it. It might take you a minute or so to figure out, but it's about as hard as learning all the features of a digital watch. But then again, I do not use this product for its interval feature, which keeps looping through T1 and T2 a certain number of times, although I can't imagine that'd be too hard either.Once you set it up, though, everything is just one button press. For example, T1, START and the time you stored in T1 starts counting down. Once it runs out you get a beep and a flashing light. You can adjust the volume of the beep with the dial on top. At any time you can STOP which will pause the timer, or click T1 or T2, etc to reset the timer to the stored value.Another plus of this item is that the digits are quite large. There's also a little mount point for a screw in the back, if you want it on a wall in your home gym.

absolutely useless
An utter piece of crap. I thought this thing would serve a purpose during our boot camp training classes. How utterly dissapointed I was. I dropped it while moving it from one part of the gym to another and it stopped working. It wasn't dropped more than 3 feet to the carpeted floor and hasn't worked since, it's now in the landfill somewhere. Had it 2 weeks and done, the only saving grace is that it is a very cheap piece of crap so it wasn't an expensive loss.A piece of gym equipment that breaks from a 3 foot fall is useless to any gym or training facility. if there was the option to rate it no stars then that is what this piece of crap would score from me.Highly DONT reccomend this for anyone except maybe a senior citizen chair exercise class in your local assisted living home. Then you would still have to have the seniors turn their hearing aids to high to hear the thing.

Nice set of features in a tiny box
Excellent product and good complement in my home gymStrong alarm and large display. Only con, will be the weight! On one side this is good since you can stick a Velcro on the backand attach it to different place in the gym's walls, but on the otherside, a breeze would knock it down
