Protein One 90 Calorie Protein Bars, Chocolate Chip, 10 Count, (Pack of 6)

I was so excited to find these bars -- low calorie, low carb, and relatively tasty. But apparently, I am one of the people who has a reaction to Chicory Root Extract. It gives me SEVERE stomach cramps -- to the point I was doubled over in pain. At first I didn't connect it to these bars, so I continued to eat them. Now it has been 48 hours since I last had one and I am still in pain. If you get these, be careful!

We ordered the Protein One 90 Calorie, Peanut Butter Chocolate, 10 ct 9.6 oz, clearly indicated as a "6 Pack", for $34. We received only one box. Tried to return or notify Amazon that we were shorted the 5 other boxes, but have been unsuccessful.Clearly false advertising on this listing, with no clear recourse. It must be confusing to others, since the first Customer Q&A on the page is: "What does it mean 10 count - pack of 6. Are their 10 per box and I get 6 boxes for a total of 60 bars? Not clear on site."And the answer provided is: "Yes. You receive 6 boxes with 10 bars in each box." By JAC on March 21, 2019Nobody knowingly pays $34 for a 10 ct box of small protein bars!

Strawberries & Cream bar ONLYProblems:- Small. Very small. Amazon and Trader Joes sells a similar bar that is truly a bar. You could eat half if you want smaller bar or, share it. This one is just for one person and not a big man. Like candy bars, these type of bars need indentations/crevices in them to split them in half. Make a bigger bar!- Coating, the white stuff, looks NOTHING like the image on the box. Sometimes it is so thin it is barely visible. Again, Trader Joes and Amazon sells one that has a nice coating (as do other brands).- If you do not want chocolate, this is the only option this brand sells! How about a blueberry pie type bar plus a peanut or sesame or other seed based bar too?- Needs way more fiber. Americans and Europeans get plenty of protein. But they do not get enough FIBER in their diet. Not enough by any measure. You cannot have too much fiber in a day. So more fiber in this bar could A) make it bigger! B) make the customers healthier!- The company that makes these needs to hire a professional chef to make it palatable and enjoyable in texture. It is like eating wax over saw dust now. But these bars do not need to be so unpleasant a mouth fee to consume!The only good thing is that, it does fill you up in a pinch. But you will want water to wash down the displeasurable after taste.

This is the second time this brand has changed something I originally loved! I got these bars on the Subscribe and save and was thrilled because I had loved the strawberries and cream. My last couple boxes I bought were completely off and they tasted very chemical like. Then I noticed the Box said keto friendly. I had a previous box that did not say this so I looked at the ingredients and they are different. I'm fine if you want to make your keto friendly products but leave the original ones alone! You did this to my fiber one coffee cake bars and now my protein bars

This is going to sound so crazy, it almost seems like I made it up. But this seriously happened:My Fiancé and I have gone through a few boxes of these no problem. We really like them.However, today he bit into one that had a sharp piece of plastic in it. Thankfully, it did not damage his mouth or cut him.I'm not even trying to get money back or take advantage of any company. We now have three boxes left we are throwing away, because who know what's in them. It makes me question the quality and cleanliness of wherever they are manufactured.

As we work to maintain our weight we watch our calories and want to have a decent protein intake. The Protein One company is a great choice and we continue to purchase them. We are sad that they have raised their prices for the 5 count...and discontinued their 10 count Value packages. Sellers sometimes take advantage of this and are selling at double the retail price of Protein One- on Amazon. Bottom line: Definitely buy these! They are great! But save some packaging and bring back the 10 pack and have quantities available on Amazon. Thanks!

This bar is a very good balance of calories (only 90), sodium (only 115 mg), protein (10 g), with a fair amount of fiber (4 g) for such a small bar. But best of all, I love the taste and texture.The main reason I switched to this as my "go to" bar is the lower sodium content (I recently had a heart attack). The smaller size also helps with weight control since the 90 calories is well below most other breakfast bars.The only down side is that sometimes this smaller bar is not enough to fill me up; but you can always have two of them for roughly the same cost and nutritional impact as a larger breakfast bar.

I like the flavor of these protein bars but after not receiving the answer to my questions, I took a chance and ordered the Strawberry and Cream flavor. For those of you who had the same question, YES, this flavor does have artificial red coloring (red 40) which I am allergic to. What a waste. Can't eat this Strawberry flavor. I like all the other varieties though. I use them as my daily sweet treat especially around that time of month.
