My Son Loves These Headphones!
I had been wanting to get my Son some Gaming Headphones for some time. I read the reviews on this one and decided to give it a try. He's 11, so I wanted to buy something inexpensive and expendable. I was impressed with these as soon as I took them out of the box. A nice looking design, very comfortable, and very sturdy. The Mic Boom is protected by a flexible black metal sheath. The cord is encased in what looks like a nylon braid. On the cord there's a small plastic box that has a volume control, and on and off switch on it. The cord terminates into a 1/8" TRRS connector and a USB Connector. When you plug the USB Connector in, the Headphones light up on the outside of the ear pieces. There is also an adapter supplied for the TRRS connector that Y's out the cable to fit older devices that have a separate Mic and Speaker Jack. Again, I must stress how comfortable these are. You can wear them all day and you don't even know you've got them on. The soft cushions around the ears, the padded cushions on the inside of the head band are excellent. The head band can even be twisted and it won't break ... nice. My Son said that the sound is really good, and the MIC audio is nice and clear. These are an excellent value for the money. If they fit your needs, give them a try! If you buy these for an XBOX ONE, you'll need a separate adapter (not supplied).

Good Sound and Mic Quality
Really like the quality of the headphones but I could do without the USB port next to the headphone jack.

Bad design
I purchased this item as a Christmas gift to pair with my sons ps4. Two weeks after use the jack started to tear at the base. Shortly after two weeks the jack wires became exposed and then stopped working altogether. First use started December 25th. It completely stopped working January 29th. Would not recommend

Updated 12/18/19. Mic stopped working. Everything works great, currently 3 months in.
I’ve had this for a few weeks now so I’ve had time to test everything aside from longevity. So far:Mic works great. Everyone on discord is able to hear me very clearly. Sound is fantastic. Headset is very comfortable in my opinion. I don’t use the LED but I have tested it and it looks great. You are required to plug in the USB to use the LED which it says in the description/overview.Overall, if it lasts me at least 1 1/2 years and doesn’t degrade in quality I’ll be buying it again when it’s time. I haven’t tried to many headsets and I’m really not a picky person but I’ve tried turtle beaches and other brands from friends and this is definitely up there even with the low price point. The durability seems fantastic but it’s only been 3 1/2 months so we’ll see, I’ll update this review later on.Edit: It’s been over a year now and it still works perfectly. Mic quality is good, headphone quality is good. Keep in mind I only play MMORPGs so I don’t need to hear footsteps or anything therefore I have no idea if these are on that kind of level or not. However, for WoW and watching YouTube/videos it’s perfect and couldn’t be better especially at this price. Everything held up extremely well over this last year+. Was a good buy.Edit: Mic is no longer working. The headset itself works fine but the mic itself doesn’t work anymore. This lasted a little over a year

Amazing headset for the price
My headset got delivered earlier than expected. The box was a bit damaged but that’s just the box. I care about the quality of the product. Immediately after receiving my headset, I plugged it in to my PS4. I continued watching Luke Cage and the sound is great, I can hear the conversations, music, and other sound effects clearly and the bass is pretty good as well. Not too much bass though, just right. I put on fortnite just to test it out and I can hear every detail of the dance emotes, movement, and enemies around me. These are not noise cancellation but if you have the volume loud enough, they will cancel out a lot of background noise. As soon as I put them on, i can see what everyone else is saying about how comfortable they are. From the padding on the head band, to the ear cups. I’d buy this product again if it breaks.

too quiet but comfortable
My headset just arrived in the mail today. I'm testing it out right now.My main complaint, and it's a fairly large one for me, is the volume. It's extremely quiet at max volume (that means max volume on the headset and max volume on the Windows OS settings and, finally, max volume on the various applications like VLC, Windows Media Player, Ventrilo/Skype/Discord...etc.).The sound quality isn't terrible, but it isn't really good, either (this could be partially a symptom of the low volume, however). With that said, it's not something I'd really complain too much about, given the price -- it's what I expected when I purchased it.The microphone is easily adjustable, but I do worry about how long it will last, given how it's able to be bent. I'm a bit afraid to put it back into a position wherein the mic is out of my face as it may add to the wear and tear much more quickly than I'd like. This will definitely affect how I store it, detrimentally. With that said, my worries may be unjustified paranoia. Do with it what you will. The sound quality of the microphone is okay (minor hissing in the background, but it doesn't drown out my voice).Again, the volume of the microphone is slightly low. With that said, there are many features within applications and within Windows, itself, to boost microphone input, so that's not a problem, at all. This headset is surprisingly comfortable. I've had headsets that have cost two to three times as much that have caused scabs to develop on my ears. This one doesn't fit so snugly that it will give me a headache or affect my T.M.J. and it actually has some padding within the parts that cover ones ears, rather than the cheap foamy material I've seen from other headsets in a similar to higher price range. If the volume were higher (and it's entirely possible that this could be something remediated by purchasing an amplifier, separately -- though that shouldn't be required for average usage), I'd give this a solid 4/5.The low volume makes this nearly unusable for me. (I hear outside sounds like dogs barking from my neighbor's yard and my air conditioning unit running in the background as loud or louder than what's coming from the headset regardless of what program I'm using.) Using programs like Discord/Ventrilo which allow 200% and 800% volume for specific users isn't really an adequate solution either, unfortunately, as it causes a lot of boosted static (which is headache inducing). The same goes for programs such as V.L.C. which allow 200% volume for songs/videos, as it also distorts the sound to the point that it's unpleasurable. With all things considered, If you own some sort of amplification device and want a comfortable headset for casual use, this may be the perfect fit. If you want something that will likely work great out of the box and have desirable sound quality and a microphone that doesn't need special configurations to work right, buy something else.
