It's nice that it comes with 2 different sized sweat wicking, pad inserts. Super comfy. The liner insert size makes all the difference in the helmet fitting a child just right. Relieved to have a helmet that isnt slipping forward or backward off my kiddos head.

A+ for tiny headed athletes
I have bought this helmet over and over (4x) for 6 years of roller derby. It's perfect. I've taken many head hits and falls and always been fine. It's great for people with smaller heads as most derby specific helmets have a 'one size fits all' hard shell with bigger/smaller padding to make them fit. Highly recommend for small headed derby players!

KNOWN MANUFACTURER DEFECT CAUSES HELMET TO MELT!
Loved these helmets at first (purchased 3 of them). Then suddenly they developed this AWFUL sticky film all over. Tried everything to get it off. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out what happened to them so I emailed the company and received this reply,“This can tend to happen when a helmet is exposed to high temperatures and/or high humidity for an extended period of time. For future, I recommend to store the new helmet in a safe, dry & room temperature environment to avoid such issue again.That being said, if you want to remove the sticky layer you can use 99% rubber alcohol and a rough rag. It will take some real effort to remove it. If you still cannot remove it, I recommend replacing.”Turns out the stick film is just the first layer of the helmet melting into goop. They are helmets so of course they’ll be exposed to heat! Their solution was to offer me 15% off a replacement. In the end I used 99% rubbing alcohol and steel wool - nothing else would even touch it. Scrubbed for over an hour and now the helmets look like this.
