No, you twist one end, then pull it out (or push it in) to the desired length, then twist it back to lock in place.

Q: i understand 11/13 mm in diameter, but is that 1 inch? i dont understand

the inner rod is 11mm which is .4 inches and the out side road is 13mm which is .5inches. if you look at the image you can see that one side is slimmer then the other thats what they mean by diameter

Hi, I looked up the Aizesi rods and they were listed at: Black, size 16 - 28 inches and 28 - 48 inches. They also have the Hotop rods , which I purchased, for 11.81 - 20 inches and 15.7 - 27.6 inches. If your window is around 12 inches wide, I would suggest going with the Hotop small, 11.81 - 20 inches. Hope this helped. K
