Works as expected

I like the unit and I can see by the reports that it’s basically good. The one I ordered puts out a spurious tone that has a rough AC note that sweeps from high to low across amateur radio frequencies. I’ve observed this at my location on an Elecraft K3 and on a friend’s K3 with panadapter. I contacted Powerwerx support and they did nothing but blame the problem on my antenna system, station ground, and AC noise. Electronic equipment can have problems and support has to be prepared to deal with it. It’s nice gear, but support leaves a lot to be desired.

I have been using the supply for contesting, RTTY, and FT8. Both FT8 and RTTY represent high duty cycle modes. The power supply seems to tolerate this abuse at almost max load. Being a switching power supply, I expected at least some increase in receiver noise floor, but so far, it's been quiet.

Use this for my HF radio, Yaseu FTDX-3000, and supplies clean DC power to my transceiver. Has rear connectors for stripped wire and front connectors for Anderson PowerPole connectors. Unlike some of the cheaper power supplies, that limit amperage to the front connectors, this nice little supply supports full power from the front PowerPole connectors. I really it and would recommend it, especially with the PowerWerx name on it, a highly regarded company.

Used it in my mobile ham set. Used it twice sofar in the field - works great, clean power.
