The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Adorable! And Comfy!
I went back and forth on what size to order but after seeing only 1 remaining in my true size 8, I decided to try them and return if needed for the half size smaller that is recommended with most Fryes! I am happy I was able to get the 8 because they fit absolutely perfect right out of the box! I wear 8 in pretty much all other Fryes and most other shoes brands as well and my foot is pretty normal width that flattens when I walk and these were absolutely true to size for me but if you haven't worn Frye before I do suggest trying different sizing to figure out what works best for your foot because I do have 2 pairs of Fryes in 7.5! Beyond sizing this is a really adorable flat and I find them to be very comfortable to wear all day and I have had no issues with rubbing or blisters at all. They just get softer and softer with wear! The color is not really a grey, more of a distressed brown and black but I wasn't really concerned about the exact color! These are well made comfy flats that I will wear for a long time since the look great with anything! I would definately recommend these!

Striking. Perfect for jeans and goes with a wide range of colors
These Frye flats are just what I expected. They are so expensive that I looked at them for over a year before I bought them, but oh, I'm so happy that I finally got them! They go with a wide range of colors--anything that warm, and they are perfect with jeans! They are a tad smaller than I expected, but just a little. I expect that they will stretch enough to fit great as I wear them.

stunning and wonderful
I love Frye shoes and boots….and this studded Carson flat is an amazing addition to my collection. I am a pretty solid size 5.5 but I need a size 6 in all Carson ballet flats. The size 5.5 does fit, but is really hard on my big toe, too much pressure. In comparison, this studded style in the Deborah short boot fits me best in a 5.5, and also comes highly recommended :-)

Frye Means Quality
My daughter wanted these for her birthday. She loves them and has them sitting out just to look at them. The leather bottoms are a bit slippery on carpeting, so make sure you rough them up a bit once you've decided they fit. They are 100% leather except for the decorations. I've always been impressed with the quality of Fry shoes and won several pairs myself.

The perfect flat for...
All my spring and summer clothes. They fit true to size on me, will wear well without a sock ala no blisters nor will they mess up the pedicure. The color is the perfect muddied out coloration that just fits in my wardrobe and these will get lots of wear. The sale price was just the topping!

I love these shoes
I love these shoes. The bottoms are leather and a little slippery at first till they get roughed up, but that is to be expected from this style of shoe.

Love Frye
These shoes are gorgeous and look amazing. I always buy half a size large in ballet flats so you might want to think about that when buying.

Will take a little breaking in...
Beautifully made. Once broken in, I'm sure they'll become favorites. If I had been able to try on before buying, probably would have gone a half size larger.
