great bedtime read!I keep a large flock of laying hens and produce a small number of meat birds each year. i also have dogs and will soon keep sheep.This suits my purposes well: its substantial and thorough (even more than i need it to be) but also concise and written simply enough that a non-professional can read it with the occasional help of google search.It's a chunky and reassuring book to have around.
