Stops the opportunist thief
I carry this on my bike to lock it up when I stop somewhere for coffee which I already deem to be quite a safe spot. It will stop the passing opportunist without any tools from riding off with your bike but a basic small pair of pliers can cut the wire with ease. I know, because I forgot the combination on one of these locks so cut the wire in less than 5 seconds with the pliers I carry in my cycling kit. So, its not strong but its lightweight and long enough to lock two bikes together and I bought another one to replace the one I cut off. Just be realistic about its limitations.

Really pleased with this
Really pleased with this, it feels sturdy and well made, the cable is a good width and better than a lot a looked at. It would not stop a determined thief with the right gear but very little would in reality however opportunist thieves would leave this and move onto easier prey. It was very easy to change the combination one thing it doesn't mention in the instructions is if you want to tighten the cable before locking it in push the cable head into the locking port about halfway so it catches then press the recoil button and the cable tightens, once you have it as tight as you want push the cable head all the way into the locking point and muss up the combination. There are cheaper locks on the market but you do get what you pay for, the way I look at it is if I've paid £600+ for a bike why would I use a cheap lock to secure it? I'm very happy to recommend this.

Ticks the light & compact boxes
I'm not dissatisfied with this weedy lock. I bought it to have something extremely light and compact which fits in a small bag and gives me extra peace of mind if I stop at a café or shop for 5-15 minutes. So far it has filled that brief adequately. The mechanisms of the lock - dials, retracting cable button, unlock button - work well and give a positive user experience. It does feel like a single quick yank on the few-millimetre-thick wire would free your bike to an opportunistic criminal, though. A lock for those who dare to live dangerously.

Prevention
Easy to use and adjust. I use it when skiing to act as a deterrent. Fortunately, I’ve never had any skis stolen, I have my own, however they were taken once by mistake. They were back 30 minutes later with apologies. When in a group not an issue but I do like to go out on separate runs and this lock fits easily in the pocket. Cheaper than the high street to I’ve found.

It does a job but not perfect
I use this for holding my back pack together whilst traveling and staying in hostels. It does the job and is useful but no idea why it has to be so large and ugly. I would happily pay double for a non plastic more compact design but this was the best I could find. As others have mentioned the reset button is place in such a location you could easily press it by accident.

Very good light-weight occasional lock.
Good bit of kit! Clearly won't deter a determined thief with wire cutters, but it is very light weight and slips easily into the pockets of a cycling jersey for use as an adequate deterrent at coffee or lunch stops. Wire is long enough to go around 3 frames, and the combination, coiling and release mechanisms all work smoothly enough to give it 5 stars for quality and value at the price.

OK lock, but not very strong.
This is an OK lock for quick pops into the shop, but you could likely cut through it with a scissors! A wire cutter would make very short work of this. More of a deterrent than an active, reliable lock. Also, do not use it for luggage. There is not universal unlock key that airport security have so if they want to get into your bag for any reason (suspicious activity, random checks, etc) they will cut through this easily.Plastic casing is not very strong either.

Good stroller lock BUT...
All in all it worked and did a good job of keeping our stroller safe outside the rides while we were in Disneyland Paris BUT when we returned from one of the rides on our last day, our code suddenly would not work and the lock was stuck on our stroller wheel. As a last attempt before asking for help, we tried the standard code that the lock is set to when you receive it and that worked. Somehow it had reset itself. It did the job though, so I was pleased.
