Great wireless headset
This headset is probably the best I’ve ever owned for Xbox, wireless but easily connectable once paired, the volume is loud and the sound quality is great. The headset itself feels quite heavy and quite robust compared to budget mics I’ve owned. My friends can hear me when speaking with no issues, however if using discord I’d recommend using voice suppression otherwise the mic will pick up everything, there’s a mute button place directly under the mic and you can twist the ear cups outer edge to adjust sound levels. The right side controlling the volume and the left side controlling party/game sound balance. The volume on this headset can be really loud if you need it to be. No idea of the range on the headset yet but I expect it to also be decent. At £90 it’s somewhat on the expensive end, however I tried one of the steel series Arctis models and it didn’t last me more than 8/9 months and the build compared to this felt way worse. The battery life on this headset also seems great, out of the box it came at about 70% charge and after 8 hours of use there was still no low battery life indicator. My advice, if you want a headset for an Xbox and you have had problems with other headsets in the price range of £30-50 just pay the extra on this one.

Solid Audio and Comfort software Integration Could Be Better
I’ve been using the Xbox Stereo Wired Headset with my Series X, and it’s a reliable, plug-and-play option for immersive gaming audio.Sound Quality: Clear stereo output with decent bass and crisp mids. Great for in-game effects, voice chat, and streaming. It’s not audiophile-grade, but more than enough for casual and competitive play.Mic Performance: The boom mic picks up voice clearly and filters out background noise well. Flip-to-mute is intuitive and responsive.Comfort: Lightweight with soft ear cushions. Comfortable for multi-hour sessions without pressure or overheating.Build: Feels sturdy with a flexible headband. The 3.5mm jack works seamlessly with Xbox controllers and other devices.Software Experience: Navigating audio settings through the console is slow and clunky. Adjusting balance or mic monitoring takes longer than it should. I now use it with an Amazon Fire Stick 4K for media, which bypasses the sluggish interface.Best For: Xbox users who want reliable wired audio without the premium price tag. Also works well for general media use.Overall, it’s a well-built headset with solid performance. Just be prepared for some software lag when adjusting settings through the console.

Got a Amazon warehouse return instead of a new headset
Sound was 1 sec behind my music game, it wasn't in sync. Base sounded terrible, I adjusted the equaliser & it made no difference to the sound. It came with no instructions, no USB cable. The security tab wasn't sealed. So in my opinion this item had already been opened & used before me! The headset supposed to come in a Xbox dust cover bag, mine didn't. This item said it is new NOT An Amazon second.

Great quality headset.
Very good for late night gaming. I can have to TV down to 0 sound and just have the headset on and it feels so immersing. Definitely would recommend. I’d say the sound quality is amazing. It’s definitely worth paying a little extra for this headset for what you get.

Quality product, but it has its faults
General AudioPros: The quality of audio from this official Xbox headset is to be commended. If you love bass, you'll be surprised as just how powerful these bad boys can be. If you've been using a cheaper, generic headset and upgrade, you'll likely notice sounds and frequencies (higher and lower) your former headset didn't pick up.Cons: There is substantial sound leakage. These are not top-of-the-line Boss or Sony headphones, but you'd still expect Microsoft to produce a headset that stops housemates hearing every sound made in Call of Duty, for example. This leads to the issue of volume control. I've seen someone else mention something similar, but when I try to lower the volume, it will knock off the audio on one ear, meaning I have to raise the volume to reactivate it. This is quite annoying, as you might end up inadvertently waking people up if gaming later at night as you try to correct basic volume faults.Spatial AudioThe fact that this headset works so well with the Dolby Access/Atmos app makes such a difference when it comes to FPS games like Call of Duty. I can accurately pinpoint enemy footsteps using this headset, and this type of thing is a game-changer (forgive the pun) in many modern games.Comfort/FitThe headset is comfortable enough for long gaming sessions. The ear pads are cushioned, and I haven't experienced any discomfort, that I can remember, while using this product.FunctionalityBeing a wired product, you're always going to have a bit of annoyance when the wire gets caught on your gaming chair's armrest, etc. In fact, the wire has got caught quite often, meaning I've had to stop and adjust it, and when this happens during a game, it can mean getting taken out and "respawned".PriceI think that a company like Microsoft has more than enough money to offer the wireless version for a lot less. I would have paid £60 for the wireless version (compared to the £45 or so) I paid for the wired headset. I hope Microsoft lowers the price on their wireless headsets (and improves the quality), as wireless is what most people seem to prefer nowadays.OverallA quality product but with its faults. Being wired, it could be sold £15 cheaper, with a reduction in the wireless version to £60. I think this would be fair both for Microsoft and the consumer.
