Excellent Frame

Great screen detail that produces a vibrant image. Innovative magnetic support bracket to hold frame at the right angle. Works with Frameo App which is really easy to set up and use. Very good touch screen which is also non-reflective and shows no finger marks. Can accept SD card or flash drive to increase storage over the in-built 32gb. Very pleased with the purchase and highly recommended.

More than just a digital picture frame... (hear me out...)

When the idea was first suggested to get a digital picture frame, I thought it was an outdated piece of tech... But as I thought more about it, especially with the Frameo App being so readily available across different branded frames, it became a better way to share memories with my family. I have family scattered across the UK and overseas... So with this purchase, we all got picture frames with the Frameoapp and now we can send pictures to each other that are on display. Really nice way to share memories vs solely pinging over phone where you'll look at them once.So... about this picture frame:Packaging - WOW, apple style - really impressed. We bought a different brand and the comparison was noticeable. The packaging is beautiful and was a shame I had no further use for the box afterwards. Should come to you safely and a nice unboxing experience. The look and feel - at 11" screen, it's slightly bigger than many other frames. That's what appealed to me. You can rotate it and I have it portrait as a lot of pictures you take will be portrait. Looks better imo. Screen is matt finished, bright and clear (I think it has over 200ppi) and very impressed with the look of images. You can also put videos on this and there are speakers included. I tried it once but it's not something I'll really use vs static images but all worked well. Magnetic stand on the back to put landscape or portrait with a a single cable that feeds out the back (simplicity). The frame colours are good and blends in well with the surroundings.Customisation - there's plenty of features in the device including brightness settings (I lower the brightness as it can get very bright - lower feels more natural like an actual picture). Light picture editing, timers, and plenty of more features are within this frame that will keep you busy but out of the box it's ready to go within a couple of minutes.Frameo App - I mentioned this app at the beginning. The device uses this to send pictures. It's a great app, could do with a couple of design tweaks to the flow but overall I've got my folks on this who hate tech and they're successfully using it. NO SUBSCRIPTION is necessary however you can pay more to get the ability to upload more than 10 photos at a time to a picture frame... workaround, upload less than 10 at a time, easy. Some Frames/apps come with a subscription and I'm really disliking this model across hardware so I was pleased it wasn't needed. The App makes this a game changer if you get others onto the same eco system so you can put memories in their homes over an app.I'd put this in the middle (close to premium) class of devices, it's not budget and it's not premium yet it contains far more premium features than it should for the value I got this at. The screen, the ease of the app, no subscription needed and the ability to rotate are all winning features. Highly recommend as I already have done to many people.

Good quality image. Slow via USB, and app is terrible for photographers

I was a bit nervous about getting this, because it uses the Frameo software. I'd had a Frameo picture frame before, and wasn't really happy with it on account of the software. But this was a good price, and a lot cheaper than an Aura Mason Luxe. So I gave it a try.It is nicely packaged. They have designed the box so that you can reuse it - it looks ideal as a jewellery box, so will be donated to my wife. The frame looks ok, with a black outer frame, then a white inner frame surrounding the screen. I think I would have preferred a single colour, but it still looks ok. It feels light, but it isn't really something that needs to be substantial. It comes with a magnetic stand, which can attach in portrait or landscape orientation. In landscape the power cable can fit inside the stand, so looks a bit better. It comes with a mains power adapter that has 4 different worldwide sockets, including UK. The power cable is 1.5m long. It has one USB-A port and one USB-C port, but I don't think these can be used for supplying powerSetup was pretty quick. The screen is a lot more responsive than the Frameo I had before. The biggest problem I had in the past was transferring photos. I'm a keen amateur photographer, and I wanted to put some of my better photos on it - about 3,500. The Frameo app only allows you to select 10 photos at a time, so to put more on you can use an SD Card, or a USB cable. With my old Frameo frame, the USB connection didn't work, but with the pexar it works fine. It appears as a USB drive, and you can just copy the photos over. You can't see thumbnails after copying the photos, which makes it a bit difficult to manage the photos from a PC. You can manage them on the frame itself, but they are just shown in some random order, so it can be difficult to hide or delete photos.I don't know if you can put photos into different folders. It isn't quick over USB. Actually it is really slow. About one photo a second. So an hour or so to copy my 3,500 photos. It can display the date on the photo. But this is NOT the date the photo was taken. It is the date the file was created. So if you use an application like Adobe Lightroom to manage your photos, and then export JPGs for the frame, then the date shown is the date you exported the file. So pretty pointless for me.It can display the current time in the top right corner. It will switch automatically from landscape to portrait if you rotate the frame by 90 degrees. It has the option to zoom the image to fill the screen, or to display the original aspect ratio, and pad the edges. These can be black bars, or gradient colour bars (with the predominant colour of the image), or blurred bars. The resolution is 2000x1200, so a 5x3 aspect ratio in landscape mode. My camera is 6x4 aspect ratio, so most of my images have the bars on the sides. It still looks ok to me, but if you want more height then the Aura Mason Luxe frames may be better. They are 2048x1536, so a 4x3 ratio. But they are twice the price…The images do look really good. Bright, clear and sharp. You can change the duration of each photo, and then it fades into the next photo. It has a sleep setting, so it will turn off the screen at the times you select.A quick note for Adobe Lightroom users. If you export your photos using the Image Sizing > Resize to fit > Width and Height, and set Width=2000 and Height=1200, then they will always fit the screen. This does NOT make them 2000 wide and 1200 tall by stretching or cropping. Instead it makes them as large as possible within those dimensions. So you will get the bars either left & right, or top & bottom. Doing it this way means you can fit the maximum number of images. 6GB is taken up by the system files. 3,500 photos takes just under 6GB. So the 32GB inbuilt memory could take about 16,000 photos.

Excellent Product - may by another

This is an excellent picture frame!I've been looking around for a while for a digital picture frame and wanted something with a nice clear screen and simple to operate. I got this up and running in minutes and after downloading the Frameo app to my Android phone (Google Pixel 9) was pleasantly surprised how slick the process of sending pictures to the frame was. Most of my pictures are on my phone anyway. It's really quick and simple to enable others in my family to send their pictures to it too via the free Frameo app. I had my eye on a 10.1 inch Nixplay but thought it may be too small and their 15.5 inch a bit too large. This pexar frame is an 11 inch and 2K resolution. Really well made product and the magnetic/moveable stand is a great idea for either orientation. I also didn't want to have to take out a monthly contract which would have been a pain.I like the touch-screen user interface too, it's intuitive and responsive.I'm really pleased with this. Lexar have created a great product worth 5 stars to me! I'm thinking about getting another for the lounge!
