This Sun Blocker hat is FABULOUS!! Family members of all ages (male & female) from adult down to toddlers have been wearing it & we LOVE it!!It does a PERFECT job & keeps the sun OUT of our EYES, OFF our FACES, & it helps us stay cooler. The material is LIGHTWEIGHT, yet durable. It has been worn every single day this summer by at least one or two family members for the past few months, as we have a wide open yard that has very little shade where the kids play. It looks just as it did when it arrived, even though it has been worn all day long every day now.I purchased several types of lightweight sun hats & THIS is one of my FAVORITES because it is so LIGHTWEIGHT. It is EASY to adjust & STAYS PUT with the strap if it's windy outside!YOUNG kids should be SUPERVISED when wearing it though because of the chin strap!!I WOULD purchase more of these hats!

Received hat in zip bag folded in quarters which causes permanent creases in brim - I don't care about that but others might. The problem for me is my head circumference is 24 1/4", well within their 25" limit and the hat is too tight. With the hat on and the drawstring fully relaxed I can feel my pulse trying to pump blood to my scalp. I won't return it as it can fit other heads in my family. Very disappointed.

The hat is great!However, knowing that most hats (even adjustable ones) that I have tried on in stores tend to be tight (or, depending on your point of view, that I have a big head), I tried to be scientific ...The description says it fits 21 to 25".Wrapped painter's blue tape around my noggin, marked off where the ends overlapped, and measured. 24".With the drawstring fully released, it just fits. A little tight, but acceptable.However if your brain and its container are even bigger than mine, I would look elsewhere.

After searching at some big named outdoor retailers, I couldn't find the hat for my wife. I needed good ventilation, lightweight, good fit, sun protection, and quick drying.Took my chances on the Welkoom sun hat based on 3 main factors 1) Price 2) Sun Protection 3) previous reviews.Initial impressions were that the bucket part seemed a little shallow and did not feel as secure, but after tightening the side draw-cord, it felt much more secure. The light grey color is a nice natural shade.Will follow-up with an exact weigh in, but I like that it's 100% synthetic materials (dried faster). The price cannot be beat. Similar big brand hats go for 2x-3x more.

Bought 3 for the members of our party. 3 different head sizes but all hats were easy to make fit. We visited 9 national parks. They really worked well. Constantly thrown around the car with no effect on the hats. They were folded when recieved but the brim flattened out and stayed stiff so sun protections was excellent and mesh was effective at cooling.

The lock on the chin strap broke the first day of our 8 day Grand Canyon rafting trip so I had to hold on to it by hand in the rapids. Good hat bad strap.

I am a kindergarten teacher at a nature inspired, year round school. I got this for the daily and weekly field trips we go on in the summer. I loved it so much that I bought 2 more for my co-teachers. It is light weight, the string is adjustable for windy days and I wore it every moment I was outside to add another layer of sun protection. Not necessarily the most stylish hat, but I didn't care-nor did my co-workers. I'd say its a must buy if you are outside a lot. I have used it in the rain and snow as well. Folds easily enough to put into my backpack on days when I just don't know what the weather will be like. You'll find success in sun protection and comfortableness with this hat.

The product was as described. Wide brim is helpful but the same mesh that provides cooling during summer makes it unusable during winter as the head gets cold. My old cotton hat let me bend the brim for nuanced sun protection but this polyester hat's brim does not stay in place if bent. Just some differences between a cotton hat and a polyester hat.
