I've had a nitecore slowly die on me so needed a replacement.Being a bit geeky, I liked the idea of knowing my cells are deteriorating with this one using the readout of Internal Resistance. According to charger Guru HKJ on BLForum who tested this device [C2-6000] claimed the IR readings were very accurate and so the "auto" nature of this charger uses this info to set the charge currrent according to cell quality. With 25r's and vtc5a's this is auto charging at well over 2 amps! Some older 4 year old LGHE4's, where the resistance has gone awry, charge at different and slower speeds so are not both ready at the same time. ofc the option of manual override is available. I tend to dial everything back tho, even at fast speeds the cells hand feel to be within safe temps. I have not noticed a temp reading above 39'C in this hot summer in London '18. This also has a reasuring heft compared to my old nitecore and doesn't slip around like the nitecore when I insert cells. So far I have charged 14500,18350, 18500, a shedload of 18650s, and topped up a dozen aa's and aaa's without issue. Very old (and frankly ready for the recycle bin) nimh cells charge slower than I would select due to the IR going up so high, again I override the auto and turn up the current somewhat. The only annoyance is that this amazon page says that the charger will give you a countdown as to when the cells will be ready. Well mine doesn't! Lesser issues are aaa batteries do not sit as well as cells with larger circumferences. It would have been better if MiBoxer supplied an aaa tray like they do with the 4 bay offerings. Tho it must be said some Li-ion chargers won't even charge NiMh such as some Xtar's and most if not everyone who buys this is doing so for Li-ion cell charging mainly. All in all a seeminly well built and fast charger. Glad I paid the few extra pounds instead of getting the nitecore D2 or Xtar VC2; both of which are much slower and have inferior display details(no IR or Temp monitoring). I hope I never have to use the 3 year guarantee. Personal thanks to D C Learwood, who answered one of my question confirming this uses a standard 5.5x2.1mm adaptor; so if the cable adaptor gives out I can find a new one with relative ease in the future.

Works as expected but manual is poor and incomplete
Having previously purchased a charger to accept 18650 Lithium batteries, although it will accept various other types, as several are needed for LED torches used almost daily, the recent addition of another that uses the higher capacity 26650 batteries now necessitates purchasing a second charger that can accept the physically broader and sometimes longer 2xxx0 series cells. The "MiBOXER C4 Universal Smart Battery Charger 4 Slot LCD Display 18650 AA Charger for Li-ion Ni-MH Ni-Cd AA AAA AAAA C 22650 18490 18350 RCR123 Rechargeable battery" accepts most common types of rechargeable cells in a variety of sizes, voltage and capacities and not just the few listed in its brief description. There are probably viable alternatives but, for many, their descriptions and illustrations are seriously misleading and some are clearly incapable of accepting larger 2xxx0 series cells. It can charge up to 4 at once of any valid type, in any mix but not necessarily using every slot simultaneously. There is a physical restriction in that with those cells that are of similar diameter to a 26650, it is impossible to use adjacent slots or to therefore charge more than two at a time - either slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 can be employed. A thin battery (slimmer than a 18650, perhaps AA size or similar) could occupy the otherwise empty slots. That information is absent from the manual! The screen is back-lit only when first powered up but reverts to being non-illuminated after 120 seconds unless a function is selected. There is an adapter cradle that accepts 2 x AAA cells and sits across the spine between adjacent slots. During a charge cycle, the central left side of the screen displays achieved voltage in a particular slot and the applied current while the right side alternates between duration in hours and minutes and the cell's present usable capacity in mAh; above is a pulsing representation of a cell and progress while the charge is underway and becomes solid as it nears completion. A press of the SLOT button will switch relevance from slot to slot and re-illuminate the display for another 2 minutes. There is an option to change the charge rate within a range of fixed mAh ratings but the value chosen must be appropriate to the type of battery in a particular slot; some may be irrevocably damaged by excess current, others by too little - 800mAh is the maximum possible. It is mains powered and should provide sufficient power to fully recharge multiples that are completely discharged, some in as little as 1 or 2 hours. Because of the differences between brands and the variety of accepted cell types, specific duration will vary greatly and can extend to several hours. When the recharge is complete, the display will identify the cell type per slot (in most instances) and its voltage. While all slots offer a specific range of settings for the various possible cell technologies, slot 4 (the rightmost as indicated within its display) offers additional options that help ascertain a cell's specific parameters - details are within the manual. While it works sufficiently well, the supplied documentation is far from superb and includes repeated instances of 'Chinglish' which some users may find accessible although many may not. There are two versions on the company's web site that are also imperfect but may be more intelligible. Once it has been used a few times, or there is experience using a similar multi-charger, much will become clear. There are just two labelled buttons that simplify its operation of which 'MODE' is that most often used. Its mains lead is quite short (approx 0.7m) and could be substituted with a standard figure-8 alternative of a longer length.
