Instapark High Precision Electronic Outdoor Garden Hose End Automatic Shut Off Water Timer

I intend to add to this review over time. Application is outside where it will get rained on.This is my first impression: simple control that brings settings down to 1 minute. Most mechanicals are 15 minutes at best. Well sealed 2xAAA battery compartment coiled cable down to a bi-stable solenoid valve.Now 2 years in, has continued to work great. Use 2 eneloop batteries which last for 4+ months, cycle it twice a day. Still sealed, still works great. Very careful to avoid anything close to freezing.

I use this each time I need the hose to prevent me from flooding the yard. It works great for watering and the sprayer head. No reduction in flow.About 11 months after purchase, my unit failed to turn off. After some troubleshooting, it was discovered that a solder joint between the coiled wire and actuator leads had come loose. This blew the 220uf capacitor. I've ordered a pack of these and hope to have it back in service. The case and dial are made well with nice o-rings and this unit did not crack through the winter.

I'm gone through a number of timers for simply turning off the hose, when I forget to. This timer is PEREFCT for that.It does one thing, does it well, and is drop-dead simple to operate. I wish more devices where manufactured with the goals in mind.Time will tell re: the longevity of the timer "in the wild". But the build quality and materials look to be robust.

This work for three events, then the batteries were dead. Replaced batteries, and it would not work. Checked the batteries, and they were hot. Not enough power to operate.

I was so excited to use this timer so we wouldn't forget to turn off the hose! It worked great for the first month, and then it stopped being able to operate the valve. It would flash like it worked, and then nothing would happen. I replaced the batteries but still nothing. I wouldn't recommend this for any heavier applications.

I had high hopes for this with some good quality rechargeable batteries but having to replace the batteries every six or fewer cycles got old in a hurry. Tried regular batteries without any improvement. It does keep time well and turns the water off when it should. This is going sit in eternal storage while the mechanical timer goes back to work

This timer is a great way to provide timed water for your plants. It is easy to use and does the job without having to remember how long to water your things. It is a one-time timer, set a time and it runs for that setting and shuts off when done. I have found it very useful and would buy it again.

I cut this into in a pvc pool fill line so I can fill my pool without overfilling it. It works great for that. It has a slight flow restriction, which makes it slower to fill the pool and slightly noisy. But you can set it and walk away. Great convenience. Very accurate timer. Very easy to use.

I have had it for a few months . Use it every second day. Works great. No leaks.

This thing is so cheap. it's junk. Do not buy it. Lasted about 2 months. Inconsistent timer. Never really worked right. Kill batteries like crazy.

Product seems to be very good. Encountered a problem and it was promptly resolved by the vendor. Will definitely purchase again from this company.

Installed it outdoor sonn in the summer ans still working perfectly. Very satisfied.
