An easy to use apple corer with a red plastic handle and stainless steel body.The corer end is serrated and sharp making it easy to push through the apple, or other fruit.Giving it a twist as well was pushing it through makes for an easy cut.On pulling out the core there is a lever on the handle that opens the blades and the core can be disposed of.It’s then really easy to clean and store till the next time. There is even a small plastic cap that fits over the serrated end to protect fingers.This is almost identical to one our family had when I was a child, but then the handle was wood not plastic.If you need to core fruit then you can’t go wrong with this little device.And at less than £3 it’s an absolute steal.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a handy, inexpensive tool to have in your kitchen drawer.It is well-made and comfortable to use, although my wife does need two hands to exert enough pressure, so I wouldn’t say it’s effortless. It cleanly removes the central core.What I like about this version is that unlike our old one, where you had to poke around to remove the core from the inside of the corer, these flicks open, as you can see in the attached video. This also makes it easier to clean.
