Works great
We have a above ground pool and I wanted something to learn me if something fell in the pool This thing is extremely loud louder than a house alarm. It goes off outside and inside.

Trash - zero stars
Absolutely useless and the slightest breeze sets off the alarm. Do not waste your time or money with this. I purchased 2 and the return window closed relatively fast, so I’m stuck with two pieces of rubbish that I will never use again.

Necessary addition with children
With 3 active grandchildren, we needed this added protection. The alarm is loud and the different settings allow the alarm to be turned off when the children aren't visiting.

Peace of mind
Setup was not too bad and it is reassuring to have this when kids or animals are around.

Worked, and loud
We have 3 grandkids (all toddlers) and a pool (16x32) . We raised their dads around a pool and never had an alarm before ... but not taking any chances with the grandkids. I had read reviews of some other systems earlier this year, and was discouraged after reading about the false alarms, and the ease of triggering. I thought I'd try this one to see if it'd fit our needs (part time use, active when they visit).I have not mounted to the pool deck at this moment, but will likely just use the adhesive option and not permanently attach with the masonry screws. I have been able to perform a couple tests and the alarm was triggered after disturbing the water. The sound emitted from the remote device is very loud (dizzying) , so you will be immediately responding when heard - whether kids are around, or just to turn it off.I have not left it on over night yet, we have several playful raccoons that visit nightly and I'm not ready to have late night / jump out of my skin wake-ups for a raccoon just yet.I like that 3 settings, Surveillance, Swim, and Mute (and off) on the sensor. Mute allows the sensor to transmit to the remote - but not sound the alarm on the sensor. So you can have the sensor in the house (provided distance / signal allow it) and not sound the alarm on the sensor (ie outside at night).I'm pleased so far with this sensor, as I my experience with it so far, it seems to be more reliable /with better configuration options than what must have been the case with the other pool alarms that received harsh reviews (needing to reset siren on device, overly sensitive etc.) And given our particular use case - more limited to when the grandkids are physically here - I think this will serve us just fine, and it gives the the grandkids parents as much peace of mind as it does us.

Alarm goes off every 10 minutes.
Purchased this for my above ground pool and unfortunately it’s completely useless. Even when nobody is around the pool, the alarm constantly goes off. Even in swim mode, when it’s not supposed to go off, it does. Defeats the whole purpose of having a pool alarm.

Peace of mind
Works for our pool, not the pond. We have too many ducks for it to work on our pond. Affords peace of mind.
