I have nothing to compare accuracy with but it seems pretty good compared to some of the items I have tested and similar reviews on YouTube for example. Very easy to use. Seems like for the price it was a really good deal.

This is a fairly decent sound level/decibel meter that appears well made and it's reasonably accurate in comparison to others that I've come across. It's fairly compact and portable as most of 'em are but it's also smaller than most others although it does have LESS features in comparison.≡ Physical buildThe physical build quality appears decent as most others are with hard plastic shell and soft rubber buttons. It takes 3x AAA that's typical of meters of these sort and the backlit screen works reasonably well in most situations although I wish the backlit settings persists across power cycles (always defaults to OFF). As aforementioned, it IS smaller than most of my sound meters but it also has the least features so I suppose that's the trade-off.Btw, it has a protection cap which I do appreciate and that's really something ALL sound meters should have (but they aren't unfortunately).≡ FeaturesIt has all the typical features as most others sound meters do at this price range; however, it does NOT have C frequency weighting even though it appears to be available from the display when it's first powered on. This is perhaps the biggest downside of this; however, if you don't need it or don't care about it, then it's obviously a nonissue.≡ NoteFrequency weighting (A, C, or Z etc) are filters that make adjustments to the amplitude of the frequencies across the entire spectrum. Various filter types exist for different purposes; A-weighting is the default for most and it's use to evaluate environmental sounds that people perceive while C-weighting is usually used for sounds created by machines or equipment. Again, this sound meter supports ONLY A-weighting.It also has temperature and humidity (%RH) that some other sound meters have as well; however, I already have plenty of those and don't necessarily need 'em especially on sound meter so that's that.I should also mention that the time-weighting for this particular has a FAST setting of 125ms which is the norm nowadays and it's faster than slightly older meters (usually around 200 or 250ms). Faster isn't necessarily better and it really depends on what and how you wanna use the sound meter. For instance, a SLOW setting could smooth out the noise (assuming that's what you want of course) to make the readout more desirable.With respect to accuracy, it's on par with most that that I've come across and it's fairly accurate in comparison to what I have (tested against 2 others).≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent sound meter that appears well made and it's fairly accurate given the circumstance. It's quite compact comparing to many others and it does have features/specs that most people would require; however, it does NOT have C-weighting so if that's what you need, look elsewhere.It's somewhat reasonably priced at $45 for what it provides and its overall performance and built quality although it would've been much more attractive if it's no more than $40 based on its spec.
