My grandson loves it
The excavator works just like the real none. My grandson is only 3 and he was able to play with the control it comes with very simple. The whole top part spins with touch of button. Great size and can climb over small toys or books. Great toy!!!

Great gift for Boyfriend
My boyfriend loved this!! I got it for his birthday and he has played with it for hours. He brings me scoops of M&M's from the other room so it works out for both of us!!The battery life is actually decently long. I didn't expect that, but he drove it for probably close to two hours straight and it worked.

Just like the real thing
Got this for my 41/2 year old boy,he loves to help run my real track hoe .I ordered this one because the remote control had levers/ joysticks not push buttons. I was very tickled with the fact that the controls at least for the excavator function with the same pattern as my real one.The steering functions ok but does not accurately, left stick left track right stick right track is correct, this steering functions more like a Cat dozer with differential steer, not a dealbreaker still really like the machine.Just like the real thing, needed to change the attachment but one of the pins had a burr on the end and wouldn’t slide out very good, had to air arc it out( check out air arcing on you tube to get the joke, probably still funnier to me) anyway got the pin out dressed the end with a small file now it functions as it should.Haven’t been able to do any actual digging in the dirt as all of our dirt is under 2 feet of snow but with the power the machine seems to have and range of the armpit should work good. The jack hammer attachment is heavy Christmas morning just after opening “The Boy” (gratuitous Shenandoah reference) was playing in the kitchen when, mom got worked up because he was jackhammering the grout on the tile floor no real damage done but about 3 inches of grout is lighter colored from the jackhammer. When I drag my finger across the grout there was actual grit he had broken loose no big pieces, but I felt I should probably mention it.Again love this toy and so does”The Boy”Would definitely buy again

Poor Battery Charging Design - Aggravating Noises
I'm reviewing the DOUBLE E Remote Control Fire Truck 10 Channel Water Pump 18 Inch Extendable Ladder Fire Engine with Working Sounds Lights Rechargeable 2.4GHz Toy Trucks for KidsPros:It arrived quickly.Cons:The battery compartment and removal design on the firetruck is poor. It's a real aggravation for an adult and even more so for a young child. Everytime you want to charge the battery on the firetruck, you have to unscrewed a tiny metal screw out of a plastic hole to remove the battery compartment cover. Then you have to unplug a tedious, tiny connector to remove the battery. Then use your own phone charger with the toy company's special cable to charge the battery.I suspect its only a matter of time before the plastic hole gets stripped out from repeated wear and tear of the metal screw going in and out. A better design would be a USB-C port on the truck just like newer phones use. Then simply plug in your phone charger to the USB-C port on the firetruck to charge the battery. It makes no sense to have to remove the battery everytime you want to charge it. Would you want a phone that worked that way? I think not.The battery cover for the controller uses the same metal screw-to-plastic hole design as the truck. A better approach would be to copy the design used by many tv and dvr remotes. They simply have a plastic clip or tab that you press to remove the cover. After replacing the AA batteries you simply clip/snap the cover back into place.I suspect over time the repeated screwing and unscrewing into plastic will cause the hole to strip out. Then you will need to rig the battery cover with tape or velcro.Maybe its me but the noise this thing produces is aggravating and the ladder makes a loud click as if it were about to break. It's going back. At this price point I expect a better design.
